Serious / Re: Should police be allowed to kill you if you don't follow directions?« on: April 03, 2018, 04:03:24 AM »
It sounds quite heavy-handed to me, but Australia has an entirely different criminal climate to the US, whom I assume the thread is primarily directed at.
I understand Police in the US are trained to shoot to kill and react on a moments notice to any action deemed to be threatening - especially if it has the potential to produce a weapon. For the most part in Australia, you’ll see Police being trained to arrest Civillians using the lightest possible force (although some officers are known to exercise it more than necessary). Tazers and Capsicum spray are the primary weapons used in apprehension with firearms being reserved for much higher scale arrests. The drawback to this is it sometimes isn’t enough. There was an incident in Melbourne last year where pedestrians were killed by a guy going crazy in his car, and, whilst he was apprehended eventually, the matter could’ve been solved before any deaths occurred. It all depends on how much force should be used in the situation, and that can’t really be judged in the time an officer is given to make the call. 911

Still sounds cooI don't know, never did much more than tag swapping with h2v. Could still do funny shit like making pink translucent warthogs shoot scorpion rounds. 913

I’ll sit down tomorrow and do 15 outruns in a row before I give up on this grind altogether. You should've already received it. It only takes like 10 once you're in the last stage iirc. Personally I think you have to buy the season pass first. 916

Some of the stipulations for unlocks are so shitty. I feel like I’ve won 30,000 outruns and still no widebody. Done them all in the same car too

Gaming / Re: Halo Mega Thread« on: April 01, 2018, 09:49:52 PM »there are already sprites for that on Halo PC and it’s easily accessible on Reach if you want. I was more referring to the modding possibilities as a whole. Online was going through a lot of teething issues in regard to custom Maps and vehicles in particular. Halo PC’s engine has already been taken to its limit and beyond with Open Source. And I’d wager Halo 3 would have far more to offer, not to mention a developer-supported modding tool would (hopefully) be less buggy/difficult to manage out of the gate. Plus I’d like to think it would, at least temporarily breathe life into the population. 924

I fully upgraded the Supra and it still handles like a sloppy dick. I lose outruns that my RX-7 (not fully upgraded) would easily win and to top it all off, it and the skyline go from sounding good stock to making the noise you’d expect from a lawn mower with a fully upgraded engine. Why.

I like his philosophy behind it too; “you need to prove that you’re good enough for that not to work before I take you seriously.” Catches out a lot of players.
