Can anybody who played the Beta tell me, what controller layouts are available? Is the H3 Standard/Reach Recon layout included, or will I have to use LT to Scope in?
You can set zoom to the right analog stick like it always has been
Excellent. It annoys me when a potentially good game has limited controller layout options, that force the player to take time to get used to it.

They have basically the same difference between installments, as almost every other Game Series confined to a single Genre. Same core mechanics, similar gameplay, different areas to explore, possibly a few updates to balancing, and a few aesthetic/engine upgrades. Not really sure what else to say here...

never said it was a bad game though, it just aged poorly
I think it aged quite well. Particularly the aesthetics on the more open areas, and things like the ambient sounds, weapon noise are still pretty fresh. I get what you mean level design/gameplay-wise, though. Especially in the Snow Chasm missions, The Library, and the Spawning mechanic in Team Slayer.
