I honestly just don't feel like shit flinging. I mean, you gotta analyze their arguments, use at least 3 swears that haven't already been mentioned, and structure your remark in a way that completely discredits everything the other user says, and that's a lot of effort.

That's legit the only reason.

I'm not sure about the effectiveness of them, but Nicotene strips are (or were) the most widely advertised products designed to help Smokers quit in my area.

I generally do as a habit. If I don't, I'll generally forget everything I read, on top of not getting quite the same level of immersion from stories.

Having a Shower and taking a bog in your own toilet are two of the usual highlights of getting home from a Camping trip for me.

I've done work Experience (sorta a 2 week trial at a given workplace) 3 times before. The first was when I was 14 or 15, at a Pet shop, and I fucking hated it. Most of the time, I cleaned stuff, which wasn't too bad, except for when I had to wash all the used display cages, which were always covered in Shit. I didn't even get to handle any Animals, which is kinda why I signed up in the first place.

My second and third trials were both Trial Apprenticeships, the first when I was 16, which was pretty good, I was nursing a knee injury, so I was constantly resting my knee, which must've looked very lazy to the employer. I was also absolutely dead by the end of each day. This year, I did it again with a different company. The first 3 days were absolute hell, and I legitimately wanted to give up, but after that, it got better. I was doing more work, and I'd have heaps of energy and motivation to do stuff when I got home, too. It was definitely the best shape I've been in all year, too.

I've also had a Part-Time job since 2010, which has been pretty unconventional. I record Stats for an AFL Football team in the State league. So basically I get payed to watch Footy. It's been really rewarding, and if I choose, I could probably take it up to National Level footy and make a career out of it, too. The banter with other staff is pretty quality, too.

Wasn't directed at you.  Everyone says the BR is OP even though it isn't.

After you play a few matches, the automatic weapons get stale.  You're just bum-rushing to your death, hoping to catch the enemy choke up.  There's practically no aiming involved, and 2 autos fighting each other is essentially what you described with the shotgun: who shot who first.

Precision weapons have a lot more of a skill gap to them.  They're big for their risk vs reward ideology: there's a huge meta-game behind them, where you need to perfect both your ability to aim flawlessly for a 4 shot kill, and be able to move in a way that throws off other people.

Unless a player had extraordinarily shit aim, all BR duels were down to whoever got the first shot off, or whoever had the most supporting fire, like every other weapon duel in Halo. It doesn't take a great deal of skill to strafe and fire, keeping the reticule aimed at head height. There is literally no situation in which an AR or SMG will outgun the BR, because they both strip shields at a similar rate, but the BR has a potential 1 shot kill once shields are down, whereas the AR does not. Unless you're playing 4 player split screen on an extremely tiny TV, even an inexperienced player can land headshots with relative ease.

and wasn't a bloomfest like shitlow 3

Halo 2's brightness was one of the worst features of the game. Seriously, without the Flashlight, you were practically blind for half the campaign, and that was with brightness put up to the max. Somewhere in between Halo 2 and 3's bloom would be better imo.

Gaming / Re: Let's Discuss Halo CE Mods.
« on: August 02, 2015, 02:13:16 AM »
CMT have done some really good stuff over the years, although anybody who has played SPv1, and the later, more rushed missions of SPv2, will attest that they've improved a lot.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the extremely overdone Plasma Rifle projectiles, but aside from that, I'm hyped af for these maps to go public. I just hope CMT aren't being too ambitious with this project, like when they disbanded halfway through Halo 2 evolved.

I loved TSC:E, especially how the weapon sandbox wasn't just "find the nearest mid range precision weapon and destroy everything. The loadout selection was a nice touch, too, and made sense as you were being supplied in the Pelican. The fact that they're adding some gameplay-altering features like gravity terminals is pretty nifty imo.

Outside CMT there are some pretty cool mods. Z Sanctuary H2 PB2 has the most functional, least bug ridden Energy Sword I've seen appear in mods, and the little party room is a classic gag. Yoyorast Island was a nifty map, although v2 could really have done without the WWII Poster Girls, because shit's just weird.
