Gaming / Re: Halo: Combat Evolved Review« on: September 29, 2015, 07:38:01 AM »Incorrect. The Warthog handles beautifully. Best iteration of the Warthog in the whole Halo series. But it sucks doe. You can't go off a mild bump without being some relative of the Stig, or you'll flip and be ejected immediately. The Hog from the 1999 build looked like it would have been fun as hell to drive if they'd kept that engine. 7293

Ah yes, I think I downloaded a copy of Pokemon Black when I first built my PC in 2011. I didn't even care that it was in Japanese and got stuck in that town with the first Gym. Kept playing, searching for a way to continue and ended up leveling my starter outrageously high before I could continue. Same thing happened just before the desert so now I have a level 45 Serperior and I'm pretty sure I've only beaten 4 Gyms, 5 max.

The Flood / Re: let's enjoy aussie rap music« on: September 29, 2015, 04:54:46 AM »any Seth Sentry songs you'd recommend? I'm quite partial to Hellboy, Dear Science, Float away, and Run has a bit of a HH feel to it. His 2013 Groovin' the Moo Canberra performance is pretty good too, if you're into live stuff and don't mind searching for it. 7299

I always start the night with a Carlton Draught or VB, so it makes everything else I drink later taste even better.

I enjoy the Hilltop Hoods and Seth Sentry, but TIL Rap and Hip-Hop are different genres altogether.
I spent most of 2012 disliking 360 and Kerser, because they just seemed really up themselves. 7303
The Flood / Re: What have you given back to society« on: September 29, 2015, 02:03:52 AM »
Sweet fuck all really. I seriously lack the presence of mind to motivate myself to have some form of work ethic, and everything nice I ever think of doing never gets past the "ideas" stage.

I was going to post something similar because I found a 3 month trial in my Project Gotham cover, but then I saw the expiry date of 2004 and was sad.

Video games, specifically the ones where you can sit down with a group of mates and play for fun. Sports being a close second.

Gaming / Re: The Silent Cartographer: Evolved review.« on: September 28, 2015, 05:53:51 AM »Nope, I've talked to him about this mod before. I meant about it being added to his review thread, not about him liking the actual map. He doesn't want to play it because he views all mods as stifling the creativity of the original developer (IIRC), and while I don't really agree, especially in the case of the mods being supported and encouraged by the devs, he's more than welcome to hold that view. 7312

Gaming / Re: Halo: Combat Evolved Review« on: September 27, 2015, 11:05:00 PM »Perhaps. Still, I think the Star Wars influence is undeniable, especially when you look at levels like 343 Guilty Spark. Absolutely. I think they were trying for a few pop culture references. Some of the Marines' dialogue is pretty much copied word for word from the movie Aliens. 7317
Gaming / Re: Halo: Combat Evolved Review« on: September 27, 2015, 10:56:19 PM »
I think the concept was more based off a 1970's novel called Ringworld, rather than flat out trying to one-up star wars.
