Nigger I'm plenty skilled. Items keep screwing me over on Extra, and I can guarantee even that guy with 90,000 online points or whatever couldn't win from any of the exact situations presented to me. I destroyed 200cc in a single day. And when you keep having to witness the incessant dull red and brown that is Bowser's Castle and whatever that infernal desert is, without interruption, it gets quite bad to look at.
Mario kUNT is dependant on chance. You can be the best racer and lose simply because the cpu's are at an advantage all the time. Not your fault, your skill level has very little to do with it.
If anything, being a scrublord helps heaps. You can drop to 6th and get a star or lightning bolt.

t4r. I know I've lost it whilst gaming plenty of times. Specifically in situations where no amount of skill can overcome the present lag/other situation. Just today, I was going for 3 stars on every cup in Mario Kart 8, where any mode above 100cc is notorious for punishing player-controlled characters, under all circumstances. On my 40th (no exaggeration, I legitimately restarted a single cup 39 times) attempt, I got down to the last race and was in a reasonable position, however, any attempt to overtake toad was met with a bump combined with an item sleight of hand (he somehow concealed his items, a feat players simply can't replicate) that resulted in me being forced to a standstill from hitting his unknown weapons on each of the 8 times we clashed during the race.
The last of these occurrences happened right on the finish line, costing me 1st place and meaning I had to repeat the entire cup again. Having spent the last several hours on the single goal of a perfect run of this cup and witnessing the same bland art style nonstop, I gave up, dropped my Gamepad to the ground and drove my heel into it with maximal force, breaking it completely (of course it was already damaged from earlier encounters too). I was pre livid tbh.

ok. this is objectively wrong.
that game had a terrible netcode. the guns werent hitscan. hit registration was so bad that they BUILT IN a bullet refund system.
One SWAT game I had I ended up getting hit in the head but I didn't die due to only one or two of the BR's three bullets hitting me. Was that due to the netcode or the gun only being program to kill when all three bullets from the burst impacts you?
probably the latter, potentially both in many hypothetical cases. halo 3 wasn't hitscan, so the bullets had spread and you needed to lead your shots to make them more accurate
Only 1 of the 3 bullets is required to kill (if it's a headshot). It was definitely either the Hitscan or general lag that caused the survival.
