The net coding is pretty bad, to the point where there is lead in even LAN matches (on top of a myriad of glitches present), and I recall something about the aim assist being even more powerful than on Xbox (I think it jams on even if you only use a Controller once?) A lack of Dedicated Server commands and reduced modding options vs. Halo CE has also lead to negative feedback.

None of it should be of any concern to you if you're just after a Campaign playthrough. The wiki informs me that it works with Vista, 7, 8 and 10 so you should be sweet.

Splendorifically fun game, but the RNG is one-sided to an extreme that doubtlessly baffles even the most radical of minds. One run and you won't even be touched by a single item and finish first in every race, even if you're driving like an absolute sperglord, and another time you'll just constantly be getting completely raped by items to the point where you get sent straight to the back of a very large field as every item gets thrown in the general location of your misfortune, and they conveniently aim at you, hitting the nanosecond the Hitstun wears off. Taking the fastest lines and driving like Ayrton Senna can not save you here. Also in laggier online matches, the Blue Shell will target the Second placed Racer up to 5 seconds after they dropped from first. The people who zig zag across the entire track trying to take the item box you're going for can also be annoying if you drop further down the field. Seriously man you're 7th, have some etiquette for the genuine contenders of the race damn. The Special Cup on Extra mode is also a fucking rape dungeon. No matter who you are, you simply will not get 3 stars on it, ever. If you somehow make it to the last 20 metres of Rainbow Road after not getting screwed over in Bone Dry Dunes and Bowser's Castle, even holding a Blue Shell behind you isn't going to save you from the hailstorm of destruction that will invariably prevent you from finishing first. God himself will drop absolutely everything he's doing, even allowing several orphanages to burn down, teaming up with Satan momentarily and reaching down from the heavens and turn off your Wii-U if you snap the Elastic back in Mario Kart's face on that specific race after winning the other 3. In the time I 3 starred all of 200cc (really fun and they seem to have the RNG just right), I got close to beating that one cup on no more than 4 occasions, being denied at the last moment by a one-in-a-million occurrence 100% likely to occur event that seems quite unlikely at first glance.

Honorable mention goes to the N64 Zelda games for having a really counter-intuitive control scheme for those used to other 3D RPG's of the time like Gex, Banjo-Kazooie and Super Mario 64, although once you get used to it, the Z-Targeting alone more than makes up for it. The base walking speed in Marathon is also painful to the eyes.

Halo Custom Edition:
-Modding tool corrupts tags really easily and makes for a difficult ripping experience
-Most of the populated servers are really shit mods with some of the worst lag in existence

-Not enough regular players on the better custom maps

-I'm pretty sure someone DDoS'd Halomaps because they're mad about being unable to discuss Halo Online/Halo 5 in the Halo CE forum, or their map sucks and they can't handle bad ratings.
