13bs have their issues in the form of apex seals failing early into the lifespan of the car, due to poor maintenance and people never giving them the revs they need. Also consumer popularity took a hit when they scrapped the Turbocharged variant from the RX-7 for the RENESIS. MX-5s and BRZ/GT-86s are okay but you can get way better performance cars for the same price or less out of a clapped out 90’s shitbox and a few mods. I’d rep the fuck out of an NA 1.8 with a bolt on turbo tho. A90 Supras seem sick. I assume the shifting is absurdly quick but ye gimme dat manual option.

Yeah I just have to wait and then I could get a 2018 Camaro SS for probably even cheaper than the one I looked at, maybe a 2SS. That would be pretty nice.

I still owe about $18k on mine so after a year I should be able to trade it in without any negative equity.
The SS I looked at a couple months ago started at $25,000 but with my current payment still on my current car, the SS would have ended up being around $31,000 and I would have been in debt if I got it.
Ah, the joys of repayments. I’m at $5k left on my car from a $9k loan. Super glad GT-Ts are still relatively cheap. But I guess they’re still very expensive for a car from 1998.

That’s the only thing I actually enjoy about driving my mum’s car. Volume control on the steering wheel is disgustingly convenient. Could probably get an aftermarket setup if you have someone in your area you trust not to fuck up the install.

Until my license category updates I'm finally allowed to drive this bad boy  I've had it since mid '17 and because VicRoads are the biggest cunts in human history and change their laws like that one kid at school that keeps losing games of tag, I haven't been allowed to drive it since the start of 2018. I'd almost sold it multiple times before changing my mind at the last second. Going to get rid of the mid 2000's sex spec kit and rice stickers for a Z-Tune body conversion, fix the paint and get a good set of wheels to start. Then work my way to performance mods since stock R34s are surprisingly slow by today's standards. I've been on the full time grind for a while to be able to afford all this before I go back to Uni. Keen as a B E A N to be back in the driver's seat. I've sorely missed the sound of an RB. Anyway discuss cars and other modes of transport itt, I guess.

Shit’s important to do. It’s so easy to mentally spiral even if things are going your way to an extent.
I struggle with getting angry at my situation a lot, despite it being a load of inconveniences in a life that’s going my way for the most part. Reflecting on how far I’ve come in terms of my career, social skills and how often I catch up with friends helps to ease that when I catch myself getting in my own head about such things.

A mid 50's lady came into my work looking to get her car detailed and she asked if our leather cleaning compound would be good enough for her car as it was her 'baby.'
She was polite enough in her tone, but the insinuation that a cleaning compound in a detailing shed can somehow be unsuitable for a shitbox Citroen C4 that's been treated as their own personal garbage dump for 5 consecutive years kind of makes you come across as a bit of a dick.

I had a brain scan a while back. It wasn't the most pleasant experience I've had. The noise of the machine completely drowns out the music they play for you, and for some reason I got involuntary twitching all down my back whenever one particular part of the MRI was doing its thing. You can imagine the imaging was disrupted by my twitching and I got to repeat that exact segment of the process. Fun.
I still haven't gotten the results yet but no news is good news I guess.
