A big problem with the reviews I'm seeing is that they are complaining that you need to have knowledge of the series to understand the story.

I find it hard to listen to Death Grips, Tool, and other bands because I hate their general fanbases so much. I wish I could get past it but it's really hard. Same with Neutral Milk Hotel honestly. is tool honestly considered a meme band or something

I have an xbox friend who is really into tool and yeah, awful fucking fanbase. Their music is pretty shit as well. OT: Vampire Weekend. 12 year old tumblr chicks have kept me from listening to this band for years now.

Some people have no taste for adventure.
WW was my favorite in the series before I played MM. I still really like WW, but MM resonates with me more personally.
Haven't actually played MM, thinking of picking up 3d though.
