I've gotten armour once out of the 7 or 8 times I've opened a gold pack. Whether I be unlucky or not, it doesn't matter. The fact that it's possible for that to even happen is complete horsefuck. Imagine if I had spent $3 for every one of those packs. There goes $25 down the drain with nothing to show for it.

RNG is awful. Agreed. But at the end of the day: where is the impact on gameplay? It's why you didn't respond to those parts of my argument. Because the fact that they don't effect gameplay ultimately means that complaining about them is (mostly) meaningless.

This $45 shit does effect gameplay though. It lets you skip past the progression, essentially making your character better than anyone new to the game who doesn't want to spend the HORRID price of $45. And the fact that getting to max level doesn't take long makes the ass fuckery even worse here. You acknowledge that there is very little value here, yet you support the practice?

And huge amounts of content? The only content being added (from my knowledge) is iron banner (modified tdm again) and sparrow races (which don't actually add content, and will be gone in two weeks). If Bungie has a more elaborate plan for future events that I don't know about, then please point me in the right direction, but nothing that I've seen recently points to "huge amounts of content".

And yes, the slippery slope argument is perfectly legitimate. Keep supporting these horrible business moves, and they will keep going farther. They already have, they went from selling $5 emotes to selling $45 player progression.
