The 4460 would be better than those two and the 8350.

What would the 4460 do for me that my current CPU can't?

Quote
I would recommend getting a better card even if you don't think you need it now, just in case.

I'm literally only going to play Project M and SSBM on my computer at 720p/60FPS. That's it. I have a PS4 in the event that I need to play anything new.

Your current cpu, as in the 8320?

To keep it short,

AMD cpu = lots of weaker cores (in this case 8 cores)

Intel cpu = less, but stronger cores (in this case 4 cores)

Considering games only use up to 4 cores, the extra cores in amd cpus are useless. The extra cores really are only ever taken advantage of in video editing. The 4460 will give you noticeably better performance, will be more efficient (less wattage), and will run cooler.

An i5 4460 would be better and cheaper, and you would have a better upgrade path too.

I need something of an i5 2500K/AMD Phenom X4 955 or greater. Does the 4460 fit the bill?

Personally, I don't think 3 tb is necessary, so I would cut that down to 1.

It's necessary.

The money that you save from doing these things can go towards a better gpu, because that card will be outdated soon enough

I don't need a better GPU, though.

I agree with you on experimenting in music. If it isn't good, then the experimenting you have done is pointless.
"If it isn't good, it's bad."

No shit

Well yeah. But some people don't think that way.
Everybody on Earth thinks that way.
Plenty of pretentious assholes like experimental music solely because it is experimental.

I kinda want to send him money
He's been offered tons of money but he refuses to set up donations.
Thats cool I guess. I just wanted to make sure he was alright.
He's gotten great support. His stream is getting lots of viewers and love.

Keem is a fucking ass. There is literally a video of him saying that he doesn't give a shit about his fans and he only cares about the money. The irony is that he is famous from making videos "exposing" other people.

I'm enjoying the HWC buildup. The U.S. teams are insane right now. There's a good 15 or so NA teams that are competent and only 8 can go to finals. H2A really only had 2 or 3 teams that had to fight for top 8 but with hwc that number has doubled. Lots of new players and new teams are making this shit hype fam.

Wait... people actually watch that?

I do. Most big halo events get 15-20k concurrent viewers.

It's entertaining, and some of the players are genuinely cool people as well.

The Flood / Re: Do you enjoy your life right now?
« on: January 07, 2016, 06:11:45 PM »
Actually, yes.

I was feeling down most of my vacation, unfortunately, but since the New Year I've had a much more positive look on my life. I know that I have shit I need to fix but all around I'm starting to appreciate myself more. I've also been spending more time around my family, I'm realizing how much they mean to me and how much they've done for me. Being around them now that I understand how much I love them has made me a much happier person.

Gaming / Re: Gaming laptops
« on: January 07, 2016, 05:15:42 PM »

Yeah gaming laptops are pretty shit, I wouldn't do that. You can build a micro atx computer if space is a serious issue.

Is that portable? As in, I can walk to and from college with that?

Yes mini atx cases are very portable. You wouldn't be able to use it in class or anything but you could probably carry it around pretty easily.

Yeah, I want to get something reasonably powerful for doing graphics stuff in college as well as games, so I'd want something I can use in class.

I do plan o  getting a desktop when I move out, but it isn't feasible for me right now, sadly.

Fair enough.

This could play skyrim pretty decently on medium. It looks pretty solid. I've had 3 acer laptops in the past and I'm happy with them. Good build quality and performance for price.

If you're doing serious graphic design at school then you might want to spend more.

An xbl conversation my brother had.

Guy: Do you wanna be my friend?

Brother: Sure

Guy: Send me a friend recwest

Guy: Sup

I just feel sad when I see shit like this. It probably means nothing but my mind wants to tell me that this is lonely, troubled kid looking for a friend.
