Fireball is great for 16 year old girls and middle-aged white divorcees.

Too many to count. I live in Belgium, you see.
What's the variety like in Belgium? I can't say I'm a big fan of the Belgian/German style beers I've had out here.

here's a non-exhaustive list of the beers I've had, only going back a few years.

I linked the details of the case from the oregon.gov site in the other thread about this. RawStory ran a similar article about it.
The Raw Story article claimed the same thing as the article in the OP, AFAIK, so RawStory was also wrong.
If the PDF wasn't a bunch of legalese that takes way too long to understand, I'd read all of it...

You might be able to make that argument if you classify the soldiers in the war as "not victims" since they're part of the war. People outside of the war being "victims" I could see how women might be more directly effected than others.

I'm sure we all agree that the Chinese/Japanese demand for whale fin, which leads to the killing of such awesome and intelligent creatures, is thoroughly immoral.
I certainly don't disagree there.

I simply am unmoved by the conditions of the food I eat before it becomes my food.
Point being that's the immoral part. I don't particularly blame you, or anybody, or myself. It's hard to relate to the suffering of animals when we're not fully considerate of it. Personally, I don't feel I can abide it.

But, y'know, whatever. I have no intention of being evangelical about it; it just seems that whatever way you look at it, the current utilisation of animals is morally sub-optimal. But if you don't care, I can't see myself changing your mind.
I think my position is what it is for two reasons:

1) "out of sight, out of mind" rings very true for me in this scenario. I have no idea what it's like on a farm, much less a one that is basically a food factory.

2) these sub-optimal conditions are a result of our best friends - Supply & Demand. A company like Tyson couldn't sustain their business if they switched to free-range, grass-fed, whateverwhatever chicken. The simple fact of how much space they would need and the cost of food compared to their current process is enough of a deterrent, financially.

Nice to know I'm not a hypocrite since I don't care what happens to my food before it is food.
I'd still say that's immoral.
"I don't care" is a pretty neutral stance on morality.
It's also pretty stupid. . .

And borderline psychopathic.
Meh. I simply am unmoved by the conditions of the food I eat before it becomes my food. That's not to say that I don't value the quality and taste of the food. If the quality and taste is improved under better treatment conditions, great, I'll buy that food.

Well, the accused has the right to face his accuser. so i'm not sure how you'd do that without the jury seeing them.

At least it's only a shitty animal, not a human being.
It's not clear that there were any significant research gains in this endeavour.

Making something suffer for no net gain is always immoral.
We gained knowledge.

His growth will begin to slow within the next 3-5 months.

By January, this'll be but a dream.
That's a damn shame because there aren't any other democrat candidates I'd consider voting for. Might have to go Green in this one.

Next January, I don't want to hear complaints for you then about the next President.
Why can't I complain? I'm not one of those bitches who doesn't vote then complains. I've voted in every election I could since 2006.

You damn well know that voting for a third party in 2016 America is essentially the same as not even voting at all. The candidates have no name recognition, no funding prowess, and no mainstream support necessary to even BREAK into the start of a true Presidential campaign.

They have a better chance, statistically, of being struck by lighting twice.
Well I live in a very, very red district in very blue California, so voting anything other than republican doesn't matter in the general.

Not sure why that doesn't mean I can't complain if my preferred candidate doesn't win, though.

Because you damn well know the candidate you are voting for wont win. You know it ahead of time.
so i should only vote for the candidate that will win, even if i disagree with their policies and positions?

you care about whether people who are mentally fucked in the head can use a female bathroom even though they're male.
This is the shit I'm talking about, retard. Transgender people aren't "mentally fucked in the head"

But we've already had this conversation and you don't give a shit. Nothing will convince you otherwise.
