I've been talking in memes with my buddy since we got here

Everybody looks at us like we're speaking in tongues or something. Pretty funny.
You're not supposed to do it in public m8.
It's the only way to stay sane

I'm hearing a lot of dumb shit
Well, you were at a Trump rally...

There are progressive conservatives
What kind of things do progressive conservatives support? Because those two words seem to be in conflict; at least in my mind.

How many shitty 4chan memes have you prepared for this event?

no but really how the fuck is denying someone help to live not outlawed before this came to be?
That's just it - you aren't denied care. If you walk into a hospital with a gunshot wound, they will treat you whether or not your insurance covers it, or if you have insurance at all.

Is this a comedy bit?
Pretty sure it's right from a Whose Line sketch

Well if we can spend trillions on unnecessary wars, we can spend trillions on necessary things our people need.
That's a non-sequitur. Even if you were overspending on defence, it doesn't then follow that such expenditure should be shifted elsewhere; you might just be overspending in general.

Nevertheless, you didn't even answer my question. You just gave me some vague platitude. So, allow me to ask you a few questions: why are you dismissing the fact that these taxes may have negative effects on economic growth, which seems especially likely given the kinds of taxes he wants to implement? Why are you okay with a payroll tax increase which is going to depress workers' wages? Why are you okay with reducing the after-tax income of taxpayers by around 13pc? In a world where deficit-reduction is key, what part of Sanders' plan actually addresses entitlement reform? Why are you putting faith in the voodoo economics and lies which underpin his healthcare policy? And there's the effects of corporation tax, and a financial transaction tax and higher income taxes.

Much like the Republicans', Bernie's plan on taxes and spending is a fiscal dumpster fire. The only good policy I can identify is the introduction of a carbon tax.
Because when fewer people are drowning in medical bills, which is one of the major causes of debt in the US, they can better participate in the marketplace, which grows the economy. What good is an economy if only a portion of your citizens can participate in it?

71
I'm ok with investing $1.5t a year into the well-being of our people.
You mean other than the effects these taxes will have on economic growth?

You should play Hexcells instead. It's like minesweeper, but without the catastrophic failure if you pick the wrong tile.

Still Standing. Renee Olstead turned out to be a freak.

Maybe you should spend less time at the gym and more time getting a job.

Back to the Future.

Mary McFly goes back in time and her high-school-aged dad has the hots for her.

I understand the purpose of not being able to retry someone for the same crime, but damn does this cause some struggle with that rule.

I think the OJ case is highlighted in my mind because it was the first televised case I remember watching, plus it was kinda local. I was in 4th grade and we watched the verdict on TV in class, even.

never lease a car tbh
Mostly true.

I'm considering leasing my next only because I'll probably get an electric car, and in 2-3 the tech will be much different and resale value will be low

....

....I'll try one more time and see if you know where I'm going with this.

If you're buying video games instead of just buying the game developer company, you are literally throwing your money in the trash.

But that's what houses cost here. A shitty house in a terrible neighborhood is still $400,000 at least. I would guess the 3-bedroom house I rent a room in [which I split with a friend] is in the $650,000-$750,000 range. No way I could afford to buy this instead of renting.
But renting, in the long run, *IS* more expensive than buying. But the 10-20% down payment is what prevents people like me from buying.

I can't tell if you're intentionally being dense or not.
I'm taking the serious path through his stupid post.

BRB, let me just buy a $750,000 house out of nowhere.

It's like you've never heard of different housing markets.

It solves it by removing the problem, perhaps.

I'd rather side with /pol/ than with the DUDE WEED LMAO vote.
Isn't Trump in favor of medical and decriminalization, and leaving it up to the states for legalization?

87
iirc, superdelegates can still change their minds at any point before or during the convention

so i mean, the writing isn't quite on the wall just yet

Super delegates are meaningless anyway, they'd never go against the popular vote since that would be suicide for the democratic party. The only reason they're being included into the count right now is to attempt to suppress voter turn out from the Sanders camp by making it seem as though he has to overcome impossible odds to win.

Stop.
It's not false. Look back to Clinton's run at it in '08. The supers go where popular will is, and that has never changed. If Sanders managed to actually start winning states, they'd flip sides.

That requires Sanders to start winning more states, though, enough to show more popular support.
It's a circle. To win more delegates, Sanders needs more states. To win more states, he needs more delegates. Superdelegates are afraid to be the first ones to take a step away from the presumed nominee, Clinton. Yay.

How do you even survive?..
I mean that in the most genuine way possible.
My parents are rich

They pay for housing, food, phone, gas, and school

However they don't give me ANY money after that. So going out with friends and buying alcohol and clothing and stuff is all up to me
You're old enough to buy booze but you don't have a job?

Jesus.

That horrible rich, white, businessman is going to ruin America. Surely this rich, white, career politician will make things right.

You're all dumb tbh fams
You skipped the part where if you supported the Independent Jew [the one who actually wanted to change things] you were a damn commie and a childish retard.
To Bernard's credit he doesn't appear to be stupid enough to go full commie.
That doesn't keep his opponents from conflating his positions and his supporters with communism.

To be fair conservatives do that to everyone anyway.
If you're insinuating liberals don't do that to everyone, that's adorable.
That's exactly why I like Bernie, because he doesn't do that. Even if you don't like Bernie's policies, he's the kind of personality we need more of in DC. He's clean, he's honest, and he doesn't insult you.
