Do you not have a percent symbol [%] on your keyboard? I see a bunch of you typing "pc" instead.

I'm not having this discussion again. If you haven't realized that evolution fucking happens by now, there's no hope. There's nothing I can do to convince you.
Prove to me with unreasonable doubt and proof all life forms are descended from one or several common ancestors that were present on early earth, three to four billion years ago
No.
Then I won't accept evolution as 100% fact
You wouldn't, anyway. I don't give a shit.

It changes my view of them, but I can certainly still enjoy their work.
Mostly the same for me. I think it's dumb that Jason Lee is a big scientologist, but it doesn't stop me from loving My Name is Earl.
It's certainly not as important with actors, and even less so with musicians (unless they're religious).

The only real issue I have with a public figure's political views is when they're writers or journalists.
when the dude is a creationist.
That damn edge tipped fedora doe
wow dude ur ebic meme totally changed my mind

ur so smart
>not supporting a person because of one, minuscule belief
LOL
I mean, if you support someone who denies basic scientific facts, whatever. But I wouldn't want that person running my country.
Except evolution is a theory, not a fact
lol

Very true.

I can't stand the Ron Paul circlejerk when the dude is a creationist.
As someone who identifies as a libertarian, I cannot fucking stand Paul or his supporters. He's weak on, if not against, marriage equality. He's anti-choice. He's weak on separation of church and state.

Ultimately he's no different from the other republicans, he's just more hardcore about states' rights than most.

Now Gary Johnson? That guy is a real motherfucking Libertarian.
I also hope to see more of Jon Huntsman. Even though he ran as a Republican, I think he only did so to get the party affiliation. He wasn't much of a Republican. I considered voting for him.

No

I listen to Anti-Flag and RATM all the time, and the fact that they're both extremely left-wing has never bothered me.
I find that interesting. I enjoy them, but that's because I sympathize or align with a lot of their work. I find it difficult to listen to music that I don't really align with. Like I wont listen to religious or country music because I don't really identify with it.

So true.

There's tons of other great contemporary composers out there with better stuff.

Perhaps not.

But all those attempts to reduce your carbon footprint might be for naught if you decide to have kids.

A 2009 University of Oregon study found that having children obliterates any emission reductions from altered behavior, like driving less and using energy-efficient light bulbs. The average American is responsible for 20 tons of carbon dioxide per year. MIT researchers discovered that even the lowest-consuming Americans (young children and homeless people, according to researchers) generated an average of 8.5 tons of CO2 per year, more than double the global average.

Population specialists agree that just a half-child-per-woman decrease in the global fertility rate could bring global population back to 6 billion by the end of the century (we’re at 7 billion, hurtling toward 9 billion at current fertility rates). And half a child in the other direction could take us to 16 billion in the same time frame, which would be catastrophic, according to many. As Alan Weisman puts it in his bestseller, Countdown, “We would never get there, because we would collapse over multiple thresholds first, possibly never to crawl back.”

But you can't compare your child to your dog.
Actually...

http://www.plosone.org/article/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pone.0107205

Abstract
Neural substrates underlying the human-pet relationship are largely unknown. We examined fMRI brain activation patterns as mothers viewed images of their own child and dog and an unfamiliar child and dog. There was a common network of brain regions involved in emotion, reward, affiliation, visual processing and social cognition when mothers viewed images of both their child and dog. Viewing images of their child resulted in brain activity in the midbrain (ventral tegmental area/substantia nigra involved in reward/affiliation), while a more posterior cortical brain activation pattern involving fusiform gyrus (visual processing of faces and social cognition) characterized a mother's response to her dog. Mothers also rated images of their child and dog as eliciting similar levels of excitement (arousal) and pleasantness (valence), although the difference in the own vs. unfamiliar child comparison was larger than the own vs. unfamiliar dog comparison for arousal. Valence ratings of their dog were also positively correlated with ratings of the attachment to their dog. Although there are similarities in the perceived emotional experience and brain function associated with the mother-child and mother-dog bond, there are also key differences that may reflect variance in the evolutionary course and function of these relationships.

The very first generation of Androids were disgusting.

I'm enjoying my new Moto X so far.
Nice. I'm thinking about picking one of those up. I have the Moto G LTE, but I really want a bigger screen and NFC. Maybe they'll come out with a 2nd gen G LTE
I thought you said you were going to wait on the Nexus 6. That's what I would do if I didn't need a new phone now. It's got a few nicer features compared to the Moto X.
I was holding out for the Nexus 6, but the $649 price tag ruins it for me. Until now, Nexus devices were about having a really good phone for a smaller price than competitors. The Nexus 4 killed it at its price point, and the Nexus 5 was a solid deal, too.
Ah well in that case I really like the Moto X so far. Great phone for the price point. Of course everyone's complaint is probably my favorite feature being that it comes with a pretty much stock Android OS. I hate the Samsung devices for being bogged down with the bloated monstrosity they call Touchwiz.
I love stock Android. I had a Galaxy S4 for a bit, and I couldn't stand Touchwiz, and all the 4.4 roms created wifi and cell radio issues, so I couldn't just flash CM or something.

Stock Android + xposed modules is pretty much all I need.

i don't get it.
It was one of the first posts from their blog. Old versions of Android and the phones left much to be desired.
