..except there's virtually no libertarians holding public office.

These things aren't exclusive to libertarians.
I feel like it should be noted that a LOT of Libertarians are just Republicans who don't want to be associated with the party.
I can't say I blame them.

their is nothing heroic about gunning innocent civilians down in the streets and sending loyalist hit squads to the houses of catholics to be burned alive.
I don't think anyone would disagree with you there. But just because some people were shitty once doesn't mean all people are.

I don't hate the National Guard because of Kent State.

Remembrance Day > Veteran's Day

The sole reason being that there aren't any Remembrance Day sales in England. And because England isn't shit.

"We're having a holiday to honor our veterans? Sounds like a good day to have a furniture sale!"

Fucking idiots. Same applies to Memorial Day in America which is essentially the same holiday but also including the remembrance of people who died in war which for some reason also justifies having a fucking furniture sale. I don't understand. I think it's important to honor those who have died in war, but I don't think anyone should be celebrating such a day with a furniture sale.

In Russia, we celebrate Victory Day (День Победы) which is comparable to Remembrance Day, except that it takes place in May on the day the Nazis surrendered to the Soviet Union.
but..but..

muh capitalism!
I'm beginning to feel like whatever I say is invalid to you people because "better dead than red muh capitalism"

Normally I just kek and move on, but I'm beginning to give the slightest semblance of a shit about it now. Stay in school, kids. Don't smoke massive amounts of methajuana.
I was being facetious. I think it's stupid to take advantage of holidays such as this to try to make your bottom line more attractive.

Fuck 'em, the scum deserve to come back in body bags and I can't wait until tomorrow when all this butcher praising is over.

Stole a poppy and lit that bastard up.
Listen, I get you're know down with the military. And I understand that not every member of the military is a model citizen worthy of respect. But don't be so thick-headed as to demonize every single one of them.

realize just how fast it can be taken from you.
I don't know if I'd go that far. It's not like America will fall in a matter of days if we were attacked.

Nope. But what I said relates to more than just living on your countries ground. Your comforts, your lifestyle, everything you hold dear can be flipped upside the head in the snap of a finger. And we forget that. We forget how much it is that we walk on a tightrope, waiting for it to snap from the strain.
I disagree. I don't believe our way of life and regular conveniences are that fragile and are able to be lost at a moment's notice.

Why make what? Leaves of absences are important for work and school so you can pick up where you left off.

There's also this response:

warning: don't read the comments.

wtf is wrong with them.
Seriously!

Do they not know what net neutrality is?
Anyone against net neutrality either doesn't know what it is or is being paid handsomely to be against it.

This is a surefire way to make Republicans oppose Net Neutrality.

Didn't take long

Quote
Never missing an opportunity to remind America how much he resents Obamacare, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) took to Twitter Monday to lash out against President Barack Obama's net neutrality endorsement by comparing it to the health care law.
>ted cruz
Your point? Cruz is likely one of the front-runners for the next presidential election. He isn't a nobody.
He's a joke
I certainly don't disagree. But a good number of Republicans think he can be the next President of the United States.
Isn't he Canadian-born?

Wouldn't that be funny, if Democrats turned the birther bullshit back on the Republicans.

Considering they didn't do that to the Panama-born McCain I doubt they'd do that to Cruz.
Was that before the whole shit fest against Obama though?

Of course, Cruz has confirmed he was born in Canada, showed his birth certificate, and denounced his Canadian citizenship so the Dems don't have much to tug on
Like any of Obama's legal documents mattered to Republicans...
