Why do you care about someone who hates this place?

I can't help but ask the same question.

For a bunch of people who say I'm unknown and disliked, you sure do post about me a lot.
If by "a lot" you mean maybe twice since I've been a member of this site...

The Flood / Re: is marching band a sport
« on: November 15, 2014, 08:35:12 PM »
No.

It is, however, a competition.

To me, things that are sports can be scored objectively, like basketball - you get a point for each basket you score. Running (x) distance in whatever time. Bowling you are score by how many pins you knock down.

Marching band is not a sport because it's scored by judges. Same with gymnastics, cheerleading, etc.

Quote
Today Lambda Legal, the ACLU and private firm Gerhardstein & Branch petitioned the Supreme Court of the United States for a writ of certiorari, the formal request that the Court review its cases challenging Ohio’s constitutional ban on marriage equality.

Earlier this month the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals overturned lower court rulings that struck down state marriage bans in Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee.  This was the first time a federal appeals court ruled against marriage equality after four other federal appeals courts upheld district court rulings that the bans are unconstitutional.

From Lambda Legal’s blog:

The joint filing covers two lawsuits filed by Gerhardstein & Branch: Henry v. Hodges, joined by Lambda Legal, seeking to compel the State of Ohio to recognize the legal marriages of same-sex couples and issue accurate birth certificates, and Obergefell v. Hodges, joined by the ACLU, seeking to order the State to issue accurate death certificates to married same-sex couples.

Attorneys for the plaintiffs in the Kentucky, Michigan and Tennessee cases have also indicated they will be petitioning for the Supreme Court to hear their cases on appeal as well.

By filing for cert so quickly, there’s a chance the Supreme Court could take up the cases this term, although there is no set protocol as to when or if the justices decide to hear a case.

Can't say I'm too surprised after how the 6th Circuit ruled.

Higher Grades, Higher graduation rates
Yeah, that happens when you have GPA requirements and shit. We already addressed this.

A fraternity is a brotherhood, a lifelong bond between people who have gone through the same initiation progress and who have learned what it means to live and maintain a Greek life. Anyone who doesn't understand this is someone who could never get into a frat, and it's incredibly stupid to judge fraternities based on isolated accidents.
None of that really answers anything. Just sounds like pro-frat regurgitation.
It answered everything, you just didn't comprehend it, which is expected since you initially know nothing about frats.
Are you ever not condescending?

they have higher GPA's
That's usually because there's a GPA requirement to be in, right? Obviously if nobody is below a 2.5 GPA, the average isn't dragged down as much.

edit: holy shit why is that so tiny?
Because you made it 3 point font.

The West Virginia University freshman who was found unconscious and not breathing inside a fraternity house — leading to a suspension of all Greek activities on campus — has died, university officials said Friday afternoon. Nolan Michael Burch, 18, of Williamsville, New York, had been in critical condition in intensive care at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, police and a hospital spokesman said.
[...]
Greek organizations at many U.S. colleges have come under scrutiny in the wake of several deaths and injuries of pledges in the past year:
  • In September, all fraternity activities were suspended at Clemson Universityin South Carolina after 19-year-old Sigma Phi Epsilon pledge Tucker Hipps died during a fraternity run.
  • In July, 19-year-old Pi Kappa Phi pledge Armando Villa of California State University, Northridge, died on a fraternity trip. Sheriff's investigators ruled the death to be hazing-related.
  • In March, 18-year-old Phi Sigma Kappa pledge Marquise Braham of Penn State University committed suicide after what his family claimed was repeated hazing. While not explicitly linking Braham's death to hazing, police opened a criminal investigation, and Penn State suspended the fraternity last month after sealing the results of its own investigation.
  • Last December, 19-year-old Pi Delta Psi pledge Michael Deng of Baruch College in New York died from major head trauma in what police said was a homicide.

I have decided that I don't give shit if no one here cares, I am going to make a fashion thread, where I will post pieces I like, inspiration, outfits, and advice if people ask for it.

Starting off with this sick ass fit

>you will never own that Jil Sander shirt
Those shoes look way too clunky to go with those skinny pants. Makes your feet look giant.
