My favorite thing about music is that it doesn't need lyrics to evoke emotion. Or even if it does have lyrics, you don't need to understand them.

This is one of my favorite pieces. While I do know the translation, even without it, it's powerful

Six weeks isn't enough time to know you are pregnant?

Not really. Not every woman's cycle runs like clockwork. Women with irregular cycles will sometimes have their periods every 6-8 weeks, just normally. By the time they're in weeks 6-8 and they've missed a period, it's already too late.

oh no! The vote didn't go the way I wanted! Its rigged!!!
I mean, I know you're just being a dick, but the vote actually was rigged. First line of the article:

Quote
A bill to ban abortions in Ohio once a fetal heartbeat is detected passed a House committee yesterday after Republican leaders altered the panel to ensure passage.

Yep just because an article says it, it must be true!
Are you asserting that the article is not true?

quoted from a reddit post:

They basically rigged the panel in order for this to pass - members expected to vote "no" were replaced. If someone could explain to me how that's not corruption, pure and simple, I'd be interested to hear.

Some background, for the scientifically-minded or the just plain curious: hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) is produced by the placenta after implantation; its function is to prevent the corpus luteum from atrophying, so that progesterone can be continually secreted throughout the first trimester. In sensitive urine tests (which usually employ a monocloidal antibody specific to a particular subunit of hCG), it's detectable about ~2 weeks after conception.

The fetal heartbeat is detectable (e.g. by vaginal ultrasound) around 5-6 weeks post-conception.
That gives a woman who's pregnant and wants an abortion 3-4 weeks. What if her birth control failed due to antibiotics? What if she wasn't trying to conceive, so by the time she realizes she's pregnant, it's too late, and she can't get an abortion? Not to mention, the supporters apparently want it to make it to the Supreme Court, with the hopes that Roe v. Wade could be challenged and overturned.
Oh, and the bill does not allow for abortion in the case of rape or incest.

What the fuck, Ohio?

Since you don't want to read the OP, let me sum up the story in details.

Guy who girl works with invites her on a date, and then to a frat party. Girl drinks little, does not get wasted. Guy invites girl upstairs, where she is raped by seven men, sodomized with a beer bottle, and left, passed out, well into the night.

Let me ask - did she ask for it? Did she ask for the sex and then regret it?

Lol

If you aren't going to answer seriously, please leave the thread.

I'm not required to answer anything.

Stop harassing me.
Nobody's harassing you. If you can't answer a simple question like that which would be rhetorical for most people is a little more than worrying.

Worrying? How so?
Do you think the girl asked to be raped by 7 men?
I wasn't there. I don't know.

I have seen girls love getting train ran on them though.
...I don't think that's what Greek life means by "community service"

The Flood / Re: Need some car suggestions
« on: November 20, 2014, 05:56:18 PM »
Price range?
If anything, probably between 15k-25k

BMW 128i, you can get a 3 series for 21-29k

But, BMW maintenance is quite high, same with Mercedes and the lot.

In truth, as I know they are reliable, I'd get a Toyota Camry   . It's a pretty decent car, atleast the model from last year was.
I'm not an old lady.

Neither am I, but it's damn affordable.

128i isn't bad at all, it's just the maintenance
My english teacher last year had a Mercedes Benz C63. She told us it was pretty pricey for maintenance.

But that BMW looks nice. What are its specs?

Depends on what year you get it, would you be getting it brand new?
Yeah, I would assume so. My mom already stated she doesn't want a used car or an older car.
Buying new is stupid, IMO. You're going to pay much more than what you could buy a 2 year-old used one for.

the minimum requirements should make sense without translation

Quote
1.Montar Imagem Iso com Ultraiso( Incluso no pacote ).
2.Instalar Setup.Exe.
3.Copiar Conteúdo da pasta CRACK para a instalação do jogo.
4.Jogar e Divertir!
installation:
mount ISO with UltraISO [not included]

This current trend of more and more courts ruling on marriage equality is great and all, but stuff like this shows that the US still has a long way to go.
Yep. There's going to be a handful of states who will need to be dragged kicking and screaming.
