I'm currently toying with the idea of a Porsche Cayman for my next car. They're a lot of fun to drive, and reasonably priced.

« on: November 26, 2014, 02:25:50 PM »
I honestly think the majority of the blame lies on behalf of the media by depicting the false narrative of Michael Brown being an innocent little angel child.

I'm just going to share this - there are riots and "civil unrest" when a sports team wins/loses a championship game, when Joe Paterno was fired, and even at random festivals.

Those protests turn violent, with destruction of businesses and looting, yet there is nowhere near the outrage that has come with the protests here.

I'm just curious as to why that is?
Entitlement.

People feel their team or culture is superior and when they are shown not, they throw huge fits

...And the riots/civil unrest when the team won? Just partying?
Basically. I think someone lit a car on fire the one year Philly won the world series as everyone was out drinking and partying in the streets.
Destruction of property, bodily harm, and death are not "just partying"
No, but that's what led to those events.
Does the original stimulus matter when it leads to the same thing that is happening in Ferguson?

2007 Audi A3 s-line.

I wish they sold the real S3 in the states.

I have Stacey's Mom stuck in my head. Do any of your friends have hot moms? I don't remember any of my friends' moms being particularly attractive when I was younger.

Dude got attacked and fatally shot a guy in self defense. Did he instigate the conflict? Maybe, but that doesn't invalidate the right to defend himself. Yeah it sucks that this all happened and it's very tragic, but nobody should be surprised by this.

In recent news, a cop shot a 12 year old kid after he reached for a lifelike toy gun in his waistband after being told to comply.
Was the kid black?
Yep.

our true hero's will protect us from the hordes

Do people forget that Dorner killed several innocent people and terrorized Southern California for over a week?

He was a hero and will be remembered as such.
A hero of what? What did he accomplish?

he showed the pigs that you cant corner the dorner
>Can't corner the Dorner
>gets cornered in cabin and dies in fire

He did great deeds for his country.
He accomplished nothing but terrifying Southern California and getting innocent people hurt.

Nothing became of the LAPD and the problems he cited with them.

« on: November 25, 2014, 08:36:59 PM »
http://www.hrc.org/blog/entry/federal-judge-strikes-down-mississippi-marriage-ban
Quote
Today U.S. District Judge Carlton Reeves ruled in favor of equality, striking down Mississippi’s discriminatory constitutional amendment banning same-sex couples from marrying.  Attorney Roberta Kaplan represented two plaintiff couples on behalf of Campaign for Southern Equality, arguing that Mississippi’s marriage ban violates the U.S. Constitution.  Kaplan successfully argued United States v. Windsor against the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) before the Supreme Court of the United States last year.  The Supreme Court’s ruling in that case has been cited in every state and federal court decision striking down state marriage bans since.  Another case challenging the state marriage ban filed in state court – Czekala-Chatham v. Melancon – is on appeal to the Mississippi Supreme Court after a judge denied a same-sex couple’s divorce petition, citing the state’s ban on recognition of out-of-state marriages between same-sex couples.  This evening’s ruling comes just hours after a federal judge in Arkansas struck down that state’s ban on marriage equality.

“Judge Reeves’ ruling today affirms what we already know to be true – that all loving, committed Mississippi couples should have the right to marry,” said HRC Mississippi director Rob Hill. “However, there is still much to be done to advance equality here in the Magnolia State. For thousands of LGBT Mississippians, the reality remains that we risk being fired from over jobs, kicked out of our homes or refused service simply because of who we are and who we love—that’s not right. HRC Mississippi is here to ensure all Mississippians are treated with dignity and respect.”

Am I in a dream? Is this the Twilight Zone?

The Flood / Re: "Fig" is now ban-worthy on b.net
« on: November 25, 2014, 02:40:27 PM »
Good. It should be.
Why?
Because everyone knows it's just an alternate way to call someone a fag, which isn't acceptable.
People are going to come up with a term to get around it no matter what. Banning every single word solves nothing.
Well "don't be an asshole" obviously doesn't work since people apparently can't control themselves.

Not that it really matters. Just make a new account and keep being a dick. Rinse, repeat.
How is calling someone a joke word being a dick? Words only are worth the meaning put behind them, if there is no negative meaning, acting like there is just makes you seem stupid.
Well, if you can't call someone a fag, you call them a fig. That's still being a dick.

If I was able to pull off using the term fig in this same manner at Jesus camp, then I really shouldn't have to elsewhere.
Why are you calling someone a fag/fig at JESUS CAMP

that's not a very Christian thing to do.
How, how do you keep missing this?
Quote

Since the word "fig" is not accepted as anything other than a fruit, calling them it essentially means nothing and is a joke. Let me repeat that, it's a joke.
Except if you're replacing fag with fig, I don't see how it's a joke. Calling someone a fag is an insult - not a joke.
Might've been considered an insult 5-10 years ago maybe, but now? People call each other faggots all the time as a joke.
Maybe in your circle of friends, but I would never call someone a fag or faggot in real life. I use it sparingly online.
