Serious / Is tragedy a necessary catalyst?
« on: December 08, 2014, 12:44:58 AM »
Particularly in art, and even more particularly in music, it seems that some of the greatest songs, albums, and bands come out of tragedy.

I'm watching the Seattle episode of the Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways show, highlighting most of the early 90's grunge and alt-rock movement. The death of Kurt Cobain not only shook the city, but led to the creation of some really marvelous things.

It seems that misfortune and tragedy are almost a necessity to really create something pure; happy, untroubled people seem to be lacking a depth that people can relate to.

1980s steel body dodge ram bby
Eh, I'd prefer something like, 1998 or newer. I can only imagine an 80's steel body Ram being a major gas hog.
as you said, a tocoma

i've had a 2004 tocoma trd with four doors and it ran really good

it was a V6 but I'm pretty sure there's a 4 banger model that might get better gas mileage
Yeah, I had a 1998 4Runner SR5 that I loved. I know the Taco sits on the same chassis and the interior is mostly the same. That's kinda what I'm leaning toward at this point. Though I do prefer the Prerunner variety, personally, he wouldn't have a need for it.

My brother just got his license and my parents are thinking about getting him a used light pickup, something like a 2-door Tacoma, Ranger, etc.

Experience, recommendations?

u mad now too?

ok.
Rocketman, at least come up with something different to say. "You mad now too?", please, you've been saying it like a repeat record and it really doesn't help you stick out from the shit-slingers here that started this mess.

That pretty much sums this thread up. That response was warranted.
I'd be more concerned that people aren't bothered by what's been going on here. We are losing members on this site when we all came from the same place. That alone is not right. This website was supposed to welcome people that were turned off by how Bungie.net Forums were going, but now we turn them away with insults and  unwillingness to forgive for past mistakes. The people on this site don't seek to prevent fires from spreading, but instead they give it fuel to grow larger. I'd expect you of all people on here to realize something is going wrong, but maybe I was wrong.
We're losing members?
What, you mean Camnator and Deci?
No shit I'm talking about Camnator and Deci.
And this is bad....why?
Because they were important and valuable members that brought great things to the community and bettered it with their presence obviously.

Gaming / Re: Should I bother getting a Wii U?
« on: December 07, 2014, 10:57:19 PM »
I have no interest whatsoever in anything else.
I think it's stupid to buy a platform with the purpose of playing a single game. So, no - don't buy a Wii U.
you have to understand, i'd play it for like... years

i still play melee

and i tolerated brawl for an inordinate amount of time
If you see yourself playing it that much, it would probably be worth the investment. They're not all that expensive, anyway.

For those of you who resent the Japanese for Pearl Harbor...
Who does that?
I just witnessed some dipshit say how much he hates the Japanese. I think it was Kinder.
Then you fell for it. Something about hooks and lines and such.

There's this place called Chicken Spot nearby my house. I swear to god it is 10x better then any McDonalds or kfc I've ever had.
I love places with simple names.

There's a place in downtown Santa Ana called The Grilled Cheese Spot. Tiny, holds maybe 12 people, but it's amazing.

The local pizza place is pretty damn good.
It's too bad there isn't more really good places near by.
Local pizza joints always have the best pizza.

But it's so much more fun to be a whining asshole than it is to actually solve the problem!

Nobody cares. Fuck off if you don't like it.

You are the biggest idiot here after I made Charlie cry and leave. Obviously you care. You commented.
Am I supposed to know who you are? Fuck off, child.

You're an idiot for not knowing. The only child is yourself.
Oh, I should have known it was this faggot.

Goodbye.

Serious / Re: Will furriers ever become socially acceptable?
« on: December 07, 2014, 07:15:48 PM »
I don't see why people care what other people yank it to.
*ahem*
I'd like to remind people that a good percentage of furries aren't even into the porn side of things, or flat out don't see the appeal in it but enjoy the rest of the...chaos.

I realize generalizations are fun, but come on. If you go to their conventions they're hardly sexual for the most part.
Which even more makes me question why people give a shit about furries.

« on: December 07, 2014, 02:03:57 PM »
The utilitarian in me says that 1 suffering child for the benefit of an entire society is acceptable.
But my feels say that no person should have to be treated that way.

The government is creating artificial scarcity in order to make California more reliant on the federal government.
Yes, that must be the case...
