Well, SOA is over.
What do you think of the ending?
Personally, I'm very satisfied with the way it ended. It's tragic and unfortunate, but I don't think there's any other way the story could have gone any other way and still made sense.
I'm a little surprised that Nero didn't react more dramatically to Jax telling him that he had killed Gemma. But on the other hand, he had already learned that Gemma killed Tara and was already distancing himself from her.
There's also some poeticness from Jax's "I got this" when he leaves the club for the last time, the same line that Opie said to Jax before his death.

Hell no
If you are a college student you know the cruel reality: it is pretty dang expensive.
An entire year, 2 semesters, is a bit more than $4,000 at my college. People who pay $20,000+ a semester are idiots
You do realize there are people who don't have $4k a year, correct?
Obviously they need more bootstraps.

Considering how necessary it is to have a degree, I think there should be some publicly-subsidized tertiary education. Something like community colleges and some state schools.
Obviously we're not talking USC, Princeton, etc. You shouldn't get to go there for free; that'll cost you.

That's what happens when everyone goes to college. Before, only people who were generally wealthy went to college, now people who are poor can go to college through student loans. It's lowering the quality of the degree. Wouldn't be surprised if companies in the future will require at the minimum a Master's degree.
Can confirm. Have Master's degree.

This is my favorite [sarcasm] part http://www.nytimes.com/2014/12/10/world/senate-torture-report-shows-cia-infighting-over-interrogation-program.htmlYet the program allowed the two psychologists to assess their own work — they gave it excellent grades — and to charge a daily rate of $1,800 each, four times the pay of other interrogators, to waterboard detainees. Dr. Mitchell and Dr. Jessen later started a company that took over and ran the C.I.A. program from 2005 until it was closed in 2009. The C.I.A. paid it $81 million, plus $1 million to protect the company and its employees from legal liability. holy shit.

IMO season one [Murder House] is the best, followed closely by season 2 [Asylum]

Why is being 'prepared' for some kind of apocalyptic or catastrophic scenario seen as something only performed by people that are crazy and delusional?
Because it's stupid and a waste of time/money/materials. It also perpetuates this idea that we should live in a constant state of fear and have to worry about our survival in the event of an apocalyptic event. Shit's absurdly unlikely, yo. It also often creates an artificial demand for items like gun ammunition which makes it harder for normal people to buy their ammo.

I'm in the midst of booking a flight back to Ohio for either a funeral or a final visit with my uncle, depending on how the coming week or two goes.
It's easy for most of my extended family to go, since almost everyone lives in Ohio or Pennsylvania. But my parents, brother, and I are the only ones that live out in California, so we always have to travel back there for family events. Sucks because it costs just as much to fly 4 adults to Ohio as it does to Hawaii, and I'd much rather go to Hawaii.

They're people. Rehabilitation is far better than going to a shithole then coming out and living the same lifestyle.
Too fucking bad. People are responsible for their actions, nobody else. These same people, no matter how much rehab they will go through, will continue their path of being a career criminal
Well if they're never going to change, we should just execute them all instead of keeping them in prison derp.

I could see why someone wouldn't want to have a kid who spends his days not helping and shit only on the Internet being edgy and talking about how they don't want to have kids
lol

Yeah, we get it Max, you dislike kids.
I don't even dislike kids that much. Some are shitty, but that's because shitty parents. I just enjoy being able to hand them back to their parent(s) when I'm done.

Children are a blessing.
Nothing better than being a father
I can think of plenty of things better than wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars on something I dont want.
