Can we just stop talking about this shit?
Why?
Because I don't see why it needs to continue to be discussed.

It's stupid to make such a grand generalization.
I'm not disputing that. He was, for the most part, wrong. The point I'm making is that it isn't necessarily because he's wealthy, and we shouldn't be making it about that. The fact that he drives expensive cars should have no bearing on the assertion he makes - that's irrelevant, to be honest.
I don't disagree, and that wasn't the position I was arguing from.

Why the fuck are we all jumping on BC's dick because he's rich. I don't know how he made his money, but being rich doesn't disqualify him from understanding fundamental aspects of human psychology and motivation.
Is he better off than most people and, probably, everybody on this forum? Yes. If he removed from the daily struggles of most people? Sure. But that doesn't make him wrong, in any sense. If you disagree with him, just because he's rich, then you're just as guilty as what you criticise him of.
His wealth and status has nothing to do with the fact that living a "fabulous life" on minimum wage is impossible in the US.
That's just as arrogant a thing to say as "everybody on minimum wage should be happy".
While the minimum wage might be unsatisfactory to you - and a lot of others - that doesn't mean you can dictate whether or not people are capable of living fulfilling lives in that situation, especially when you're thinking in purely financial terms.
The use of "fabulous" is what I take issue with. It's ignorant to assert that someone can live on minimum wage, much less fabulously, without knowing their circumstances. It's stupid to make such a grand generalization. I live in Orange County, CA. One of the most expensive places to live in the US. A full-time minimum wage job couldn't even pay my rent if I split a 4-bedroom house with more than 4 people in a shit part of town, much less would it be possible to live fabulously on. And CA's minimum wage is a good ~$2 more than the federal minimum wage. If BC told me I could live on minimum wage I'd laugh at him. Even in places with lower cost of living will minimum wage get you much. It's stupid to tell someone a minimum wage job will be anything more than just scraping by and living paycheck-to-paycheck.

You can only live on minimum wage if you live in bumfuck nowhere. If you live in a city of any significant size, it's impossible to live on.

We have standards for fitness and if a woman meets them, she's good enough.
Female PT scale is a fucking joke.
Why not just make one scale, and if someone can pass the tests, they're allowed in?

Nope. Would run.
Coward
Nope. Standing up for your beliefs is the least cowardly thing you could possibly do.
Running away isn't "standing up" for anything. That's complete cowardice.
So I should just accept it and go fight in a war?
Who said you would have to fight at all? There are a ton of non-combat roles you could go for.
I refuse to be any part of the military.
Doesn't matter if you refuse. If you get called, it's your turn.
Which is exactly why I said I would run. Did you not understand my first post?
Which is why I explained it's cowardly and you have a weak character and moral standing.
I entirely disagree. It's weak and cowardly to give in to something you object to.
So essentially a more "grown up" version of a child's tantrum in refusing to do something. Goooot it.
So objecting to literally anything is a "tantrum" to you?
Nope, and I never said that.
You literally JUST said that.
No, YOU just said that. I said your reaction to the draft is akin to a child's tantrum. I suppose you ran from your class on reading comprehension, too.
So in what instance would refusal to comply with a demand not be a tantrum?

Or you could actually stand up for your beliefs, and take the punishment.
That too. I'd rather go to jail than be forced into the military.
Would you face execution?
I mean, I'd rather not, but if that's what it comes to, so be it. Pretty sure you can't be executed for refusing to be drafted, though.

You people act like going to war is an honor.
It is when you're fighting Nazis, ISIS or the like.
They probably tell their troops the same thing about Americans.
