RPing as a company/newspaper/food establishment is stupid. Let's not keep doing that.

Serious / Re: Could companies sponsor a school and/or district?
« on: January 12, 2015, 10:43:55 AM »
I wrote a paper about this back in high school. It would be as simple as naming the football field of buildings like colleges do, or putting sponsors on sports uniforms like they do in Rec soccer. I think the up sides greatly outweigh any downsides. I come from the poorest school district in my state and we could use any penny we could get.
I agree.

Though I'm not sure why you'd need logos on school uniforms. I understand it for sports games and race teams and such, but the students/staff are only there among themselves, they aren't out promoting anything.

I would think that a company logo under the school sign would do fine.

I meant sports uniforms( I didnt want to say jerseys because track and tennis and shit)

Like this
Ah ok. Yeah that would make sense.

If only the History channel would show history again.
BUT MUH ANCIENT ALIENZ!!
Hey fuck you, that's a good show.
Not if you like factual shit.

3427
On another note, since you quoted facebook, this reminds me of a facebook post by a feminist friend I had who blamed the Elliot Roger killings on a patriarchal, misogynistic society. That was a fun debate, one in which she ended up deleting the post and removing me after I proved her idiocy to the world.
It couldn't have been because she didn't want you shitting up her facebook page?

You guys thought putting Fritos on pizza was a good idea, so no.
The only place Fritos belong is either in chili or in the trash.
Fritos are fucking delicious you cunt.  Shut your fucking face before I get Peyton to deck your ass while I fuck your bitch.
Ok, guy.

Something I can see becoming a problem is states/districts cutting their own funding to sponsored schools, which happens in a lot of states with the lottery.

If a school district uses $10m/yr, and sponsorship brings in $5m, the state shouldn't cut $5m from their budget so it's still $10m - the district should instead be getting $15m total.

That's what happens in a lot of states where the lottery money goes to schools. States just supplement taxes for lottery funds, instead of more money going to schools.

One of my ex girlfriends couldn't do gluten, so I tried some of her stuff occasionally. Some of it was...ok...but some was terrible.
Tortillas were literally cardboard
Oh shit. Fuck GF tortillas. Most GF pizzas are shit, too. She lived in LA so there was lots of hipster vegan places to go to that she could eat at, but I'm like....where's all the meat?

Quote
Buddhist violence in Myanmar are the ethnic terror attacks, particularly against the Rohingya people and other Muslims in the region. The terror attacks were motivated by Buddhist monks (the prominent among whom is Wirathu) with the creation of the 969 Movement.[11] The violence reached prominence in June 2012 when more than 200 people were killed and around 100,000 were displaced.[12][13] According to the Human Rights Watch report, the Burmese government and local authorities played a key role in the forcible displacement of more than 125,000 Rohingya and other Muslims in the region. The report further specifies the coordinated attacks of October 2012 that were carried out in different cities by Burmese officials, community leaders and Buddhist monks to terrorize and forcibly relocate the population.[14] The violence of Meiktila, Lashio (2013) and Mandalay (2014) are the latest Buddhist violence in Burma.[15][16][17][18]
Huh. TIL.
