Someone who decides to get up and risk their life to protect others, to fight and die for a cause they believe in, is worthy of respect in my eyes. Even if they commit ethically-questionable acts while they're over there?
yep. All is fair in war.
Cool. Sign me up and deploy me asap. I'll shoot up some men and rape their wives. It's fair right?
No no, you can't rape their wives. You can only rape your own wife.

How big is your school?
Uhhh, 1500?
Whoa, that's crazy. Your school is smaller than my high school graduating class was.

I STILL find beer flavorless, bland, bitter water and I have no clue why.
I've tried Lagers I've tried IPAs I've tried Hefeweizen
None of them suited my fancy.
I'll stick to Hard Cider, Apple Ale, and Tequila.
Try... Blue Moon?
I'm hesitant to spend money on more beer I won't like. That has been my experience. I try it, decide I don't like it, and it gets wasted.
The only beer I have ever tolerated was a micro-brew in a Casino. It was a Blueberry Lager. It was alright, not great, but alright.
I had this the other day and it was delicious! http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/192/1910/

You're obsessed.
It's topical and relevant to current events. If he kept it up for months, then maybe I'd call it obsessed.
At this rate we might as well have a 'Chris Kyle bashing thread'.
You're welcome to make your own threads about it, if you'd like More importantly however, why is Camnator fucking banned again?
Couldn't tell 'ya. I was out at a softball game and when I came back he was nixed.

#America
American India Pale Ale wat
The term pale ale originally denoted an ale that had been brewed from pale malt.[3] The pale ales of the early 18th century were lightly hopped and quite different from later pale ales.[4] By the mid-18th century, pale ale was mostly manufactured with coke-fired malt, which produced less smoking and roasting of barley in the malting process, and hence produced a paler beer.[5] One such variety of beer was October beer, a pale well-hopped brew popular among the landed classes, who brewed it domestically; once brewed it was intended to cellar two years.[6]
Among the first brewers known to export beer to India was the Bow Brewery, on the Middlesex-Essex border. Bow Brewery beers became popular among East India Company traders in the late 18th century because of the brewery's location and Hodgson's liberal credit line of 18 months.

Considering I play piano and write my own music, I'd say pretty safely I actually like music.
yeah, if you don't listen to a lot of styles of music then your artistic endeavors have no value.
I enjoy making music myself. So yeah, music is great.
same goes for you.
playing music does not equal appreciating music.
Oh, so classical pianist have no value? While they play the hardest piano pieces ever written to large, wealthy audiences in the best music halls in the world?
So, if writing music, playing music, listening to music, LOVING music isn't enough, then how do I truly "appreciate" music?
Literally the complexity of music has no bearing on how good it is. This is just an emotionally driven opinionated rant by you.
While you do kinda have a point about complexity and quality, a good amount of simple music is shit. There's a reason pop music is shit. 4 chords and the same song structure will only get you so much.
yep
Indeed.
There's a reason pop music sells so well - because it's simple. You're selling your product to the lowest common denominator. The more complex you make it, the more listeners you lose. You want something everyone can tap their feet to, sing the chorus too, and get drunk and dance to. There's no value or quality in the song itself; it could literally be about anything and people would be none the wiser. Case in point: Hook
The song is literally about nothing. The lyrics are just nonsense phrases.
No one gives a fuck about pop music. No one was talking about pop music. Do you think that I care about pop music? I don't. I said that complexity has no bearing on the value of music. I didn't say anything about pop music being good. It's not good. You don't need to randomly drag that discussion into here out of the blue.
Oh, I don't disagree. I was just expanding. I guess it wasn't really directed at you. It is relevant, though. Complexity does play a part in quality.

I have no idea why you're bringing up pop music. It has nothing to do with the discussion at hand.
Sure, guy. Whatever you say.

I fucking love music.
Live music. Recorded music. Sitting down. Standing up. Crowded bar. Quiet bedroom.
Doesn't matter.
