Why do you prefer softball over baseball?
Around here, adult baseball leagues are few and far between. Plus, I have some residual knee and elbow issues from old injuries that I don't want to risk re-injuring playing baseball. Softball is a little easier to play without getting hurt.

or be able to hit a perfect home run but at a 38% chance?
Hit everything. For two reasons: 1) small ball is what wins games. Bombing home runs isn't super helpful in a lot of cases. 2) in my coed leagues, if I guy hits a homerun over the fence, it's an out. With 200-225' fences it's really easy to hit home runs.

In a message to students and parents at Huntington Beach High School on Thursday, Pamela Kahn, health and wellness coordinator at the Orange County Department of Education, said that students "who do not have any documented [measles, mumps and rubella] immunizations will be excluded from attending school until January 29."
The decision was based on a recommendation from Orange County public health officials, Kahn said.
On Friday, Huntington Beach High's principal, Rocky Murray, said a total of 24 students were being kept out of classes, including the one who contracted measles. That student last attended class on Jan. 8, according to the Department of Education.
There were 52 confirmed measles cases as of Friday; 46 of them in California. Holy shit, people.

Because it's fun! I meet new people every season, some of which I've become really good friends with.
No I get that it's fun. 
But 40 season is a lot. How many games per?
No fewer than 10 per season, sometimes as many as 16 depending on doubleheaders and such.

The closure of MegaUpload just shows how relying on something out of your control is just naive. Having stuff on cloud storage/multiple storage sites and local/external hard drives is fair enough, but why go through all the hassle of having multiple accounts for such things?
I mean, I don't see Google Drive shutting down anytime soon, but if it does, surely it wont be without notice and I can download my stuff again.

I've been trying to get in a league over here with no luck 
I put my name on the free agent list for a couple cities and it took a few seasons to get a call. I had better luck getting on a team through local facebook pages and craigslist.
