Umm, why do they cost so much?
A couple different reasons. The biggest reason is the material they're made out of. The right half of the pic is pretty much all under $100 each since they're just normal aluminum bats. The 3 on the left are composite bats which are made from reinforced carbon fiber. They hit the ball further, but they cost a lot more. The second reason is rarity. There's some bats that are $500+, even if they're used, because they're so hard to find. Some people just collect them. I actually use all mine, though.
