Serious / Re: The minimum wage
« on: April 07, 2015, 09:59:58 AM »
I support a minimum wage because I don't trust companies to pay their employees a reasonable wage. It's in their best interests to pay employees as little as possible.

1623
I bet you're the same dude who balks at raising the minimum wage, huh?
Everybody should.
Because keeping minimum wage up with the cost of living increases is such a retarded idea...

Some good economic ideas, but:

>pro life
>anti gay (marriage and presence in military)
>pro homeschooling
>against protecting ocean ecosystems
>pro exit UN
>pro gun
>anti universal health care
>anti separation of church and state

0/10, would not vote for.
Economic policies >>>>> social policies
Maybe to you.

Not a conventional answer, but cheating on one of my former girlfriends. The planning, the lying, doing things you're not supposed to be doing..

Quite exciting.

That said, it's a terrible thing to do to someone.

Asshole
Yep. I'll never do it again. I felt like a real piece of trash.

Darn liberals
LOL.

Visiting D.C. was pretty cool.
DC is a cool city.
I'd move there if the price of living wasn't so high.
For real. My girlfriend lived there for grad school and was paying upwards of $2,000/mo for her studio apartment.
Holy shit. What's minimum wage over there?
Google says $9.50

If you haven't been to DC, there's a HUGE discrepancy between people who live around the capitol, and the people who live in the surrounding neighborhoods. There's a stark contrast between their income levels, and there's a huge homeless problem in DC.

It's a really odd place.

For some reason I imagine it's like being a James Bond villain, but sexier.
And more guilty afterwards.

Indeed.

Most TV commercials are completely forgettable to me. Does advertising even work for people under, like, 40?

How does he want to go about that? Genuine question. I haven't kept up with his stuff.

Are you for real? I've never worked in an office before that didn't use Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access on the daily. For home use you could get by with Google and other alternatives, but when everyone else is using MS Office, you'd be dumb not to.

Besides, it really is the best solution on the market.

I would avoid Option Four. You're at a crucial point in your life where you can't let your life be driven by your relationships. Yes, it's unpleasant, but laying a solid foundation for your future is more important than anything else right now.

Opening day for what?
Sports related?

Not everyone cares about sports you know.
You don't have to care about sports to know that baseball is starting.

New York.

You won't starve to death and stress will keep you on the grind.
Screw that! Go to Colorado and live stress free.. And if you are stressing, legal Cannabis will help you.
Then what about Washington state and DC?
Holy shit don't live in DC. Cost of living is waay too high.

Wait, people think steak and red meat is some sort of luxury item?

We're not talking filet mignon here.

I'd love to see a list of what people think food stamps should be used for.

Uh, except that's exactly what we're talking about if you'd bother to read. Food stamps shouldn't be allowed to get lavish meals like filet mignon, but food to get by like they're suppose to. If I actually work for a living and these losers don't, why do they get a filet mignon when I can't even afford it?
How does a person have a full time job and not afford some decent food? Are your finances that far out of whack?

Regardless of popular misconception, working as an EMT does not pay well. I make 10 dollars an hour.
So you're telling me $10 is a shit wage to live on?

I bet you're the same dude who balks at raising the minimum wage, huh?
