unfortunately that "im a socialist!" thing isnt gonna work out for him in this america. thats on par with "communism" in terms of buzzwords that scare us. i think he'll run a great campaign and ill vote for him if he gets the chance but i think he's in a lotta trouble. he might could win a looooooooot of people over by debating circles around the republicants and hilldawg, but i dont have that much faith in the american people really. i think if another dem wins he'll definitely get on their cabinet tho
His major quality is the stability of his platform. He's basically run on the same platform for the last 30 years, and he doesn't spend time slamming his opponents. I've seen a few recent interviews with him and everyone keeps asking him about Hillary, and he'll just bring it back to him and his policies, which is exactly what he and everyone else should be doing. Slinging shit at your opponents doesn't make you look any better. Hopefully people can see through the OMG SOCIALISM argument and take a look at his voting record and policy support from the last few decades.

In a strict sense, converting people is important to Christianity, sure. But most of the actual Christians I meet IRL hardly even bring up their faith. And while I definitely agree with the concept of atheism, atheists are usually a lot more annoying than Christians.
On the whole, I think it's just the vocal minorities that skew everyone's opinions on either side. Zealots are annoying regardless of their affiliations.
The problem is that the quiet majority isn't doing anything to distance itself from that vocal minority, acting as tacit approval.
Uh, it shouldn't have to. Just because two people are Christians doesn't mean that one is responsible for how the other acts.
I didn't say they're responsible, just that if you don't make it known you don't approve of their actions, you're going to get lumped in together.
