Yeah, people are rude. But doing discriminatory shit like not giving a headscarf-wearing woman a can of soda should not be done by someone employed by the airline.

Flight attendant should be axed.

considering how long and relentlessly fox has railed against the lgbt community...yeah.
So, you aren't happy about their bad record.

And you aren't happy about their amending that record?
But they aren't amending it. Because now that they realize they're not gaining followers by running the LGBT hate-train, they're pretending that LGBT rights is a conservative issue, which they've clearly displayed that it is not.

So a commentator on Fox says conservatives should support gay marriage, and you give him shit for doing so?

That's why I can't just stock shelves if I want to work at Target.  I also have to work the register, bring back stray buggies from the parking lot, help customers, etc.
This is what basic business models do - get the fewest number of people to do the most work for the lowest wage. Every business does this. Because having more workers than you need doesn't pad your profit margins.
Fair point.  Although I can't test whether or not I could negotiate my wage down to do this one specific task because, like I said, that's illegal.
let's say it was legal to pay you $1.92/hr to gather the carts from the parking lot. It doesn't make sense to hire you only for that. One of two things would happen:

1 - carts can only be collected when you're working, which may mean the all of the store's carts are in the lot and customers are unhappy

or

2 - you get paid to sit on your ass until it's time to collect carts again.

neither of these options make sense for a business to do, so it's all rolled into someone else's job.

But not everyone does, even after the ACA and state programs. I went without insurance for a while because I simply couldn't afford to be taking home any less than 100% of my paycheck.
Let's not forget insurance costs are so high because companies aren't allowed to compete across state lines.

I don't know your specific views on the best system of healthcare, but it doesn't stand to reason that a nationalised system would be any better.
I think what would be better than what we have now is state-funded healthcare that doesn't leave you high and dry if you're out-of-state. That's why nationalized healthcare is attractive because if I'm out of state and need to see the doc, I'm not fucked.

Only problem is that I also am strongly in favor for nationalized health care.
Take it from a Brit--you don't want that.

Go down the Canadian, German, French or even Singaporean route.
I'm just saying that it's better than having to go into surgery and then being bankrupt. Let's say your appendix is about to burst, and you have to go in. You can't help that, it just happens sometimes. That will bankrupt you over here, or cost you a shit ton of money.

Unless you have a nifty thing called 'health insurance'.
But not everyone does, even after the ACA and state programs. I went without insurance for a while because I simply couldn't afford to be taking home any less than 100% of my paycheck.

Yeah, it wasn't illegal.
I'd consider waging war under false pretenses pretty illegal...
What were the false pretenses?
The fact that there were no weapons of mass destruction as had been reported.
I mean, not unless you consider chemical weapons to be WMD's...

http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/10/14/world/middleeast/us-casualties-of-iraq-chemical-weapons.html?_r=0

In which case, yes, there were WMD's in Iraq. The problem wasn't that they didn't have any WMD's, it was that our intelligence suggested it was an active program. It wasn't, but the fact of the matter is, Iraq had WMD's. More than 17 sites were discovered during the war that acted as storage for Iraq's stockpile of chemical weapons. But, this just isn't coming from The New York Times. So, to reiterate, Iraq had chemical weapons. The bad intel lies in that we thought their program was active; most cases found present the case that they just stockpiled weapons and were not creating any new ones.

A chemical weapons facility was also found in a joint US SOF-Peshmerga raid in northern Iraq against Ansar al Islam in Jan. 2003. To my knowledge, it's still not clear how Ansar al Islam had their hands on chemical weapons. It has been theorized that Saddam transferred some to them as Ansar al Islam was predominately preoccupied with fighting the Kurds and not the Saddam regime.

Do you also think al Qaeda wasn't in Iraq pre-invasion? I could gladly clear that up too.
So you don't consider those to be false pretenses to the war?

Nope. I would not trust a woman on the front lines of any war. There's nothing sexist about it.
That's pretty much the definition of sexist.
If you consider the truth sexist, that's your problem.
You just said you wouldn't trust a woman in the front line, no matter how qualified. That's sexist, retard.

Not that it matters. Even if it were proven to be an illegal act, Bush and friends will never see a courtroom.

1342
To be fair, Bush was a pretty terrible person who began an unnecessary and illegal war that cost our country trillions of dollars we didn't have, thousands of lives of soldiers, and the lives of 100,000+ civilians. So...it's not like he should be ranked up there with MLK and Jesus.

Plus the proximity to his actions leaves it feeling pretty fresh.

1343
I'm getting really sick of this "triggering" bullshit.

Yes, some people may have had unpleasant life experiences whose memories get brought up with hearing/seeing/experiencing certain things. Shit happens. We can't just bubble-wrap everyone as to avoid experience unpleasant thoughts.

There's also the equivalency of this shit to real PTSD. People who go to war get PTSD. People who are raped and assaulted get PTSD. Because someone called you fat in 4th grade does not give you PTSD, and takes away from the very real struggle that people with real PTSD have.

Removing classic literature, poetry, etc, from classrooms speaks more to our culture than it does the literature we're removing.

A Note 4 aye? How's the Phablet?
It's a really nice size. It's actually smaller than the Ascend Mate 2 I was using, which was 6.1"

Droid Fucking Turbo

Best phone I've had.  Ever.
Solid phone, but too small, and VZW.
Then go with the G4.  I tested the G3 for a few weeks and it was a solid phone, but I went with the Turbo because of the faster processor and longer battery life.  If the G4 is anything like the G3 it'll be great.
Yeah, my dad has the G3 and I've used it a bit. It's a good phone, but I don't like the buttons on the back, and the G4 will be the same way..

I'll be watching this thread as I am eligible for an upgrade soon and am considering transferring from iPhone to Android.
Which iPhone do you have now? There will be a noticeable jump in performance and quality if you get any of the current flagship Androids over, say, an iPhone 5 or 5s. The iPhone 6 is already pretty awesome, so upgrading won't be too impressive.

5S. So I can either go with the 6S(?) in the fall when it inevitably releases, or jump ship
There's rumors of a 2015 Nexus 5 in the works, so you may want to hold out to see if that pans out. It should be a really solid, pure Android phone.
