I mean, if you live in the 1950's mentality that women and coloreds are below the white man, then I guess that makes sense. No, of course I don't think that.
I probably shouldn't be having this conversation with you, anyway.
Probably not. Believing in Christianity is dumb to being with; doing so without believing in God is even dumber.

I think the Bible makes a lot of pragmatic sense I mean, if you live in the 1950's mentality that women and coloreds are below the white man, then I guess that makes sense.

Yep. How often do you hear about someone who was raised in a non-religious house becoming religious later in life? Me, though admittedly, I wouldn't really say I buy into it for theistic reasons just yet.
You're a Christian who doesn't believe in God? What.

That happens all the time with Religion, it's basically the reason Religion is still around because of how parents indoctrinate their children, There is a guy in the clouds.....
Yep. How often do you hear about someone who was raised in a non-religious house becoming religious later in life? Pretty much never. That's the whole reason there's all kinds of milestones for kids in religion. Baptism, confirmation, bar mitzvah, etc.

Well nothing on Earth is perfect, so why waste your time here? Non-existence is perfect.

But the point is, and what ^Eliab there is missing, is that an optimal situation is never going to happen, and that it's not something to strive for.
Anything less than perfection is a complete waste of time.
Well nothing on Earth is perfect, so why waste your time here?

the second best would be along the lines of loving father and loving mother teaching their child compassion, ethics, real-world truths, and all that in a friendly but safe neighborhood. Why can't this include same sex couples?

How did he play the dancing parrot video in the 60's?
I assume the kid from school messaged it to him and he had it stored locally on his phone.
Why?
Well there's no wifi or cell networks in 1960, so...
But why would he download that autistic shit to his phone?
Because the kid in his class sent it to him, so therefor it is on his phone.
Why didn't he delete it?
Fuck, I dunno dude.

Fo real tho, I think Trump gonna be nominated today.
This is really going to be interesting. Even though Trump has a lot of support, he also has a lot of people against him.
I think he's gonna claim nearly the entire South since the poor and uneducated are the largest portion of his supporters.
Do you have a source for this?
*points to Trump supporters* There's your source.

It's really useless in the long run.
It's not any more or less useful than the SAT. Most schools will take either or both.

My only concern would be how other kids treat a child with same sex parents.
But that's something that the parent(s) of the kid who is being an asshole to deal with.

Well, I'm not a retard, so I'm aware that same-sex couples are not better nor worse parents than hetero couples. The lack of one parental figure (be it the mother figure in male homosexuality, and father figure in female homosexuality) is what I'm concerned with. Does this actually have any impact on how the child will grow up?
No.

Didn't read the book, but the show is pretty badass thus far. James Franco does a good job.

I think most art mediums are dominated by liberal/progressive people because art is all about doing new things and exploring new areas, which isn't exactly in line with conservative thinking.
It's absolutely shocking how many intelligent, reasonable people believe this rhetoric.
Well if you want to tell me how I'm incorrect, I'll gladly listen. Conservatism revolves around preservation of the status quo, which conflicts with much artistic thinking. The two seem diametrically opposed, to me.
