Transgenderism is not normal. It's the opposite of normal, something's in fact very wrong with it.
LOL THIS FUCKING GUY

Oh, so it's completely normal and not an issue at all?
Yeah, if you're not an ignorant asshole.

Nah, if you're an ignorant asshole you just let them suffer with dysphoria instead of being honest about it and trying to solve it. Yes, cuddle their feelings so they can suffer a little less than finding an outright cure.

Fucking idiot.
"cure"

Why do you think it's okay to be a shitlord when you're convinced you're correct? You haven't addressed a single point I've made, and you're always pulling the holier-than-thou horseshit on Challenger when he says practically what you've just said.
Because I don't give a fuck about you guys, and you guys don't give a fuck about me. So what's the point?

1088
yeah, but it'll help people who are fucking poor not drown in debt and shit, so..there's that.
Not if people lose/can't get a job in the future because the price floor placed on their labour is too high.

Minimum wage is actually a pretty terrible anti-poverty strategy; we should be using targeted transfers which give people earning nothing a guaranteed income and top-up the wages of low-paid workers up to a certain benchmark.
but we can't flip america on its head about basic income, so this is the best we're gonna get.

Why does there always have to be a race issue with everything when Obama is involved?
Because racism is still a thing in our country, and his race is the most distinguishing thing between he and his predecessors. Again, I'm not saying it IS racism, but damn it sure seems like it.
Wait, isn't it more racist to bring up his race when nobody else has?

If you believe that the color of a person's skin is a distinguishable trait, then aren't you the one with the racially charged mindset?
acknowledging someone's race and treating them different because of it are two different things. talking about race is not racist.
The only path to a post racism culture is ignoring race.

By failing to do so you are perpetuating racism.
ok, tumblr.
thats the opposite of something a tumblrfag would say
but we aren't trying to become a world that ignores race.
Yeah, racist assholes like you are holding us back.
acknowledging that race exists is not racist.
Why bother making note of something if its inconsequential?
because race is the distinguishing factor between Obama and his predecessors. Did you not read any of this thread?
I find it odd that I don't consider race to be a trait that distinguishes people, but you do, and I'm the one who's racist just because I disagree with his political policies more than I disagreed with his predecessor's.

Had you ever considered that Obama would still be a bad president if he were white?
Again, I'm not even talking about his policies or even how you feel about him. I'm talking about how he is treated by his colleagues on the hill.
I explained to you earlier; that is the way the president has been treated by opposing politicians for a very long time.

Since John Adams.

If you don't remember his predecessors being treated that way, you were not paying attention.

Furthermore, race is not a distinguishing trait unless you ate a racist.

It has never crossed my mind that the flak Obama gets could be racial, because I'm not racist.

I see plenty of reason a person on the other side of the aisle would want to publicly heckle him, and as I have just stated, I have never presumed its about race.

Face it Max, you're the only racist in this thread.
I'm a racist because I realize that some people treat people differently because of their race?

Well fuck. Wish I lived in your perfect little bubble where you don't even know racism is a thing.
You're racist because you assert that race makes people different from each other in a way that is worth noting.

That's what racism is all about.

If a difference is worth noting, it is worth comparing objectively, and objective comparison results in the assertion that one I objectively better or worse.

Therefore, if one is not better or worse,it is not worth comparing, and therefore not worth noting.
I brought up race because, aside from his race, Obama does not differ much from his predecessors who were not treated the way he has been treated.

in the sense that we should treat people well regardless of their race, yes. but we aren't moving toward a place where we pretend that race doesn't exist.

The civil war was fought primarily over political and economic reasons, it's just that these reasons happened to revolve around slaves because that's what the southern economy was reliant on

Thus why the reconstruction period sucked so much dicks for everyone in the south
It also revolved around cotton which the North taxed to get money. The cotton tax was the main reason for the North to invade and the slavery thing was a side thing.
Thank you.

I'd like to remind everybody that there was no Civil War.
Just another American Revolution.
who do you think picked all that fucking cotton? robots? dinosaurs?

no. slaves.

To be absolutely honest, that's not even an ISIS flag. It's now widely associated with ISIS, but that flag is actually quite old.

It's called the "Seal of Muhammad." In fact, the Ottoman's used something similar and they even used the same exact seal (the Muhammad rasul'allah part in the middle of the flag) as their official government seal.

But at any rate, this is dumb.
This is mostly the same logic used with the Confederate flag, too. "It's not the Confederate flag, it's the battle flag of blahblahblah"
That wasn't what I was going for at all.

If I had it my way, the fucking Confederate flag would be banned outright.
I know it's not what you're going for, but it's similar logic.

yeah but max

^This is actually the Stars and Bars.
Then why isn't THAT flag flying on people's trucks and over capital buildings?
Because it's only marketed to a very niche group of reenactors and memorabilia collectors.
The battle flag of the army of northern Virginia is actually square, too, and did appear on the last two iterations of the CSA's flags (the stainless flag and the bloodied banner)

The commonly seen and well remembered design is the battle flag of the army of Tennessee, also the second Confederate naval jack. It became a popular icon through media and commercialism, and that's why the army of Tennessee's flag is remembered as the stars and bars over the actual  Stars and Bars.
So what your'e saying is that the whatever flag of wherever has become the de facto confederate flag, accepted by most people.
