It would certainly help in EMS. I had a patient today who didn't speak any English and I only speak bits of Spanish, so communicating was a little difficult. In the end it made for an interesting call to learn some Spanish and the fellow was nice, but it would have been much easier to understand him and ask him/tell him my assessment procedures rather than getting a translator or sounding things out. I was lucky my partner spoke a decent amount of Spanish and also had a phone app that translated English to Spanish from speaking into it.

It's amazing how many people can't see all of the variables or understand basic reality. Of course effecting the economy in ANY way is going to effect everyone. It literally has to. They are denying simple logic.
How was your vacation in the corner

Good thing I won't be having kids. Or if it happens by accident, I swear I'll sell them into slavery for a good buck

This being the use of substances like DMT, psilocybin, LSD, etc. for treatments of conditions such as PTSD and other psychological issues. I'm pretty much just going to talk about DMT mainly but shrooms is used a lot to treat PTSD and you can read up on that if you want but still feel welcome to voice your opinion on that as well as in relation to DMT.
A little background on DMT which is the more unknown substance is that it is a chemical found abundant in nature in various plants and animals. It is even found in human beings though it is only produced two times in life; birth and death/near death experiences. People that have consumed DMT describe meeting God, alien encounters, etc. So when you hear about someone having a near death experience and describing seeing heaven, meeting God, other religious experiences they are actually just experiencing their body's natural DMT high.
The first bit on DMT's possible medical use I'd like to show is a little documentary by VICE in which a doctor in Mexico was experimenting with a form of DMT made by a toad in the region.
He used a group of natives in the area that had been already using the drug for spiritual and ritualistic purposes of hundreds of years. Within this community he found people that had been suffering from severe drug addictions to meth and crack and one or a few uses of DMT and these people were cured of their addiction.
So do you agree with DMT's use clinically based on these preliminary trials?
Didn't we already have a thread about this last week?
Anywho. Yes we should use it but be careful because it can cause serotonin syndrome which basically means your brain stops producing serotonin and you end up like this:
Aka more likely to shit yourself. Oh and have no controllable emotions... Just sayin.
Included with high blood pressure, a fast heart rate, sweating, and muscle spasms that can vary from mild to severe.

why is this thread still alive
It has quality discussion value and I think the 8 pages of replies is a reflection of that.
If by discussion value you mean 7 pages of Sandtrap ramblings and Verbatimposting then yeah, quality discussion all the way.
Sandtrap's ramblings haven't constituted a majority of the thread, and Verb's debate with Mr. P has been quality. It's invoked discussion

how the fk is that helping anything? stupid rioters are stupid. this is the definition of a chimpout
Yep. I saw a video of that.
Fuck it. If I was a fireman I wouldn't risk my ass out there. I just wouldn't respond and I'd tell every other local station to not respond also.
Problem is that's not how the fire department works...

Why does it always have to be an American?
Cause the US seems to be the only nation where there's some sort of unspoken requirement to be "patriotic" towards it.
Nah you're just a faggot

I'd like to add that wanting to die isn't necessarily tied to mental instability; there are states in the US that allow euthanasia so long as the person is making the decision sound of mind. How would that sort of thing be judged, anyway? Because, in my opinion, nobody is "sound of mind". What does that even mean, realistically?
Out in the field of EMS, it typically means making sure the patient is alert and oriented by 4 (A/Ox4). This is done by when you see medical staff or medics/EMTs/etc ask a patient their name, where they are, what's going on, and what time/year/date it is. Person, Place, Time, Situation or Event. If the person is not A/Ox4 they are usually considered to have an altered mental status and cannot competently make decisions for themselves, like signing to accept or refuse treatment. I'm sure that it gets a little more in depth depending on the circumstances and for medical professionals higher up the food chain.

Knock it off the pair of you, any further shit after the courtesy two minute grace period = warning time.
Pair of us? I'm merely expressing an opinion.
If by expressing you mean posting the same comment over and over and over again for the last page, sure.

False. The game wants you to think and be resourceful, not just some retard idiot fuck who needs to be hand-fed information like yourself. You seem like someone that needs big fat signs everywhere pointing where to go rather than figuring it out like an intelligent human being. >hates games that tell you what to do >dark souls literally has signs everywhere telling you what to do
lol
False. Those are hints and suggestions, not detailed instructions. Plus, you can skip over them entirely. They are not the game developers holding your pussy-juice covered hand.

Death is a core mechanic in the game death isn't a mechanic, that's just silly
a mechanic is something that performs some kind of function what exactly is the function of death beyond a penalty for your fuck ups
you could argue that death is a core mechanic in all video games--i don't think dark souls is special, just because it happens more often, just because the game tries too hard to be tough

You mean like this? Only I was new and didn't know about the stab thing so I ended up doing it the long way. I saw the message that told me to run, so I ran. But only after the first few times it killed me. I figured, even if I could kill it, I probably wouldn't get anything, because the game wants me to run.
So, bad game design. No matter how you look at it.
