The Flood / Re: Do you care about clothes / fashion?
« on: June 17, 2016, 12:57:05 PM »
Uhh, I don't want to wear something that'll make me stand out, and I want it to look alright without being stupid. I don't want to look like the unathletic nerd, or someone who wears bad stuff that everyone else wears like those cyan and gray hoodies or those alright-looking shirts that everyone wear with those straight shorts.

so what do you wear then?

I've been wearing a lot of j-crew Irish linen shirts lately. They're really breathable and comfortable for button downs. Perfect for summer.

Yes they are solid choice and well made, do you have the haircut to go with it, peaky blinders style?

I want to read Finnegans Wake and understand all of it

That's doable. Ulysses is way harder, if you assign meaning to it that is.

you can still have a sense of fashion without being gay

what is this meme saying you can't?

I don't know, when going clothes shopping friends make fun of me saying I am like gok wan and am a fairy.  Maybe it is also because I like to wear clothes with flowers on them...

Now when you say history

My favourite time in history is ancient times of rome. But because I study that for degree; already have dozens of books about it so maybe different time like the crusades would be good. Anything with swords and castles is fun time.
Ah, so you'd probably have heard of or already read anything I'd have read about classical antiquity.

Care for WWII stuff?

WWII is great too, very interesting time. I know nearly everything about Russia side of things but would like know more about N.Africa and Italy, but any reccomendation is welcome. thank

2 pages of everyone making fun of you, as usual

Its irrelevant because no mater what kind of post or thread I create, I'll get made fun of either way. Constructive threads don't get attention here, shitposting and parodies are what works.

That and trolling.

Why do you say negative thing?

Just day ago I made thread asking for advice with my concern and many people help with careing.

Moby Dick. Always Moby Dick.

Alternatively, I've been reading James T. Tabor's "Paul and Jesus", which is quite interesting.

Moby Dick is adventure classic, this will be a good idea. I just hope the whale wins because I forget what happens in the end.

Hello friend. I have summer break and some spare time so is good time to read new book.

You people here read books also, of many different kinds. You can reccomend what I should read? Open to any genre, but really like history and niche topic. However I am not hipster overlord that will condemn mainstream books, LOTR is good for example so to Ulysses. many respect to J.rr Token.

Recently hear that this is supposed to be best sci-fi ever written of all time ever, is it true??

Thank you and book thrread

The Flood / Where can I study white Magick?
« on: June 15, 2016, 08:03:47 AM »

Clavicula Salomonis says that there is no distiction between white and black or that at the least it is blurred. Why is medieval magick always associated with badness and occult. Not all were witches, there was good wizards too that help the king. Magick can help, but I cannot know anybody that teach white magick?

This isn't real but I like the topic so I'll pretend it is. Pretty much she will be surrounded 24/7 by thousands of extremely attractive and wealthy individuals while being heavily intoxicated and probably on drugs. Not to mention 2 weeks is a long time and she's going with her friends that are guaranteed to engage in hoeish behavior. That influence alone will be enough. The environment in these places x vacation mindset will make her act very different even if she's super loyal. Anyone who says otherwise has no idea what they're talking about srs

People go to Ibiza for a reason

Unfortunately it is real and you have reignited my doubts. You describe my thoughts, but is there anyway to prevent this? Or even minimise risk?

What do you say to this SecondClass? Can you see now how hard is to presume good things when context?
I say that Jive has some kind of serious mommy issues and hates women. He literally thinks they're all sluts and drop any convictions or relationships they have when they see a "Chad".

Fuark

Seriously, ignore anything that comes out of that acccount. It's a borderline troll.

But he is giving good advice to me, he does not seem like troll?

SecondClass is an autistic mentally ill tranny that worships women and has never had a relationship with anything deeper than a cartoon character. You should pretty much disregard anything he says about this topic as women can do no wrong in his eyes. If she cheated he would probably tell you that you deserved it and to forgive her

How long has the relationship been going?

You seem to be well aware of why I am concerned. You understand how women act in these situation, so I trust your opinion.

"How long has the relationship been going?"

Yet more bad news!!!  Relationship is very young at only 3 months... You don't need to tell me, I know this bodes badly. Maybe I should just save myself the heartache now and breakup with her preemtively. There seems to be nothing in my favour!

I feel very sad now. Nothing I can do...
The thing is girls act VERY differently in settings like this. They're influenced by their friends and adding in alcohol/drugs/party environment will make the likelihood of her cheating go up.

I've been to raves and parties where girls with boyfriends will be dancing on or making out with friends of mine, some with their boyfriends at the same event. They don't think rationally in these situations. ive been with a few girls with boyfriends before, and a friend of mine constantly gets messages from TONS of girls in relationships. It honestly breaks my heart

3 months is not a long time at all. Now I don't want to make you break up with her, idk what kind of girl she is and she really might not cheat at all. If she wasn't going to and you did break up with her before she left it would really be a shame

Just saying the odds seem stacked against you.

Yes, I too know of stories (and have seen first hand) of girls in club with bfs cheating making out with other people while boyfriend was in the same building!!! It blows my mind and makes me worried. How come only women do this mainly? Why never hear story of boyfriend cheating on gf in club? It is very strange.

You make good sense saying I should not break up now, was overreaction. However, I think there is one shining light in all of this. Gf does not use drugs ever, even at concert/club she say no. Maybe this will be saving grace. Only time will tell.

i mean, shes going there from before they got together. maybe her friends will try and help her not to do stupid things, but in this situation, just stay calm and such. i might have to go through this when i leave to university which is a couple of hours from my girlfriend, and i gotta trust her to stay loyal and such considering a childhood friend of hers likes her and theyve been friends for god knows how long.

beetle, keep your cool, send an occasional text asking how she is, youll be fine.

I thank you for your answer and will try not to despair just yet.

"a childhood friend of hers likes her and theyve been friends for god knows how long. "

As one bf to another, I must ask you to be very cautious with the childhood friend situation. Too many times have I heard stories of this type of people start cheating, please be vigilant and careful. Trust important but keep brain turned on too.

There's this crazy new thing in a relationship called "trust".

Of course but also given the context it is only natural that there will be doubt. One must be realistic. Many times you hear of story of these things happening on party isalnd, spiked drinks etc. You can see documentary of people drink too much and decision making skills go away.

Trust important yes, but also must not be naive. Ibiza notorious bad place for this thing.

well shes not going to stay in ibiza forever

what happens in ibiza stays in ibiza

If discover unfaithful act I will break up immdiately. If it happen once it can happen again, cannot take risk.

No, you have to be naive in this situation. If you honestly think that she might cheat on you, then that's not a healthy relationship. You have to trust her completely, and if she chooses to violate that trust, then it wasn't a good relationship to begin with.

I see what you are saying, I will try to presume no bad thing of her.

Text her everyday, only once. Asking how she is doing. If she either.
A: Made a detailed reply with punctuation
Or
B: Didn't respond

You're fucked

Thank you, she uses lots of emojis and responds quickly so this will be very easy to see.

118
She's going to take lots of pills in Ibiza

So that's how you spell it, it's pronounced I-BEE-TA right?

119
Pee on her leg before she leaves. That way the others will know that she's your property.

That's the worst part about it!!! SHE ALREADY LAFT DAS, SHE ALREADY FCUKING LEFT!!!

gosh damn I am truly in dire state when come to flood for gf help. But i respect your answer.

Many times I see thread about gf and asking of advice. And many times there is long lenghtly answers of good knowldge and wordly wisdom. There are also meme answers too of course which is fun.

To those of you versed in answering to gf threads I ask you this about my gf. Please advice!

My gf had booked a holiday with her friends before she became my gf.
gf apologies to me but says she must go on holiday because she promised friends.
I see no problem with this and say is ok.
HOWEVER!

This was before I knew context of where she going! My mind has now been plauged with bad thought!
Gf goes to party island somewhere around spain, (I forget name) for 2 week!!!! TWO WEEKS!!
with her other gfs and a gay guy.

I am not naive to what happens at these party islands in europe!
There is many nightclubs with drink and topless men that lift weights and hit on women every night.
21st century culture encourages unfaithfulness

I expect the very worst.... is there
anything I can do? or is all hope truly lost?
