i understand that unlimited TMs is great and useful and all, but one-time use forces you to make a commitment, which makes things more interesting imo, especially in a nuzlocke
is horrible for competitive though >bad graphics
> no physical special split
> bad sprites
> only ~150 Pokemon when other games have 700+
> no online features
> one time use TMs
> uninspiring story line
> not much to do after elite 4

if you don't have enough badges your high level Pokemon won't listen anyway Just make it so your Pokemon "doesn't respect you enough" to let you ride it or some shit

I never thought HMs were the problem, to be honest. Having attacks that can interact with the environment is actually a cool idea.
The problem is that
1. the moves themselves fucking SUCK DICK in battle except for surf, which is only decent
2. they're such a fucking hassle to remove or delete
3. too many of them are required for progression
waterfall gets much more use than surf

just have pokemon that CAN learn fly be able to FLY. why does my pidgeot need to learn a move to let me fly on his back?
maybe like defog, i can understand. but rock smash? here's what i would do: "Hey machamp, punch that rock homie".
Word on the street is you'll have "rental" Pokemon equipped with saddles and shit that you carry in special pokeballs and can be used in place of fly, waterfall, surf (sharpeedo is a fucking jet ski) rock climb ect as a better way to gate areas.
