My gf's sorority is doing a retreat thing where they all go to the beach for a long weekend and one night there's a formal dinner.
They're allowed to bring dates (but don't have to)
Many couples share a room with other couples or a group of  3 or 4 girls will share hotel rooms since it's so much cheaper that way. My gf and I were originally planning to share a room with a couple were really good friends with but they couldn't go. Well when one of her sisters found out we were going to be in a room alone, she practically begged to share a room with us. She's single but she's one of the most well liked girls in the sorority and groups of girls have asked her to room with them but she insists on staying with us.

So I live in a pretty rural area but my girlfiend lives in town. Today we decided to just chill and ride around the town on bikes and play Pokemon go.

So there we slowly bike along and just enjoy the day and we stop at one of the gyms in the town. It's a little memorial park. It's just a small garden with some benches and an art installation made of glass. Well my girlfiend and I chill there and take down the gym. We get up and get ready to leave and I walk past the art installation and there's a plaque on the ground. It says "the remembering glass: in memory of _____" and a birth and death date

The name on the plaque was of my childhood friend who was hit by a truck and killed while we were in middle school.  I moved out of the town and never knew that they had built that park as a memorial. He fucking loved Pokemon when we were kids. And now a park made for him is a Pokemon gym

The raids were excellent

The rest of the game was a mess but I miss grouping up as 6 and fighting through the raids. Especially going blind the first time through. Really awesome experience.

I really wish more games (besides MMOs) would try a having a small group of people needing really good communication and being able to solve puzzles and stuff together.
