I used to think that it wasnt possible for someone to actually be ugly. Like maybe with the right make up they could be presentable? But that was before I saw ugly people. The Internet is a scary place.

Have you ever played a game and made your character how you wanted and felt an attachment to it? That's kinda how I'd feel about it. I don't see why you couldn't reproduce with someone else you felt romantically attached to btw. The whole process might be different but the outcome of having an offspring that different and yet the alike to you would still be there.

Nah. I had a Chinese Water Dragon and over the course of his life his spines occasionally popped off from running around and shit or if the dead skin from shedding didn't fully come off of the spines. I tried to help him with the latter tho so it wouldn't happen
