Serious / Re: Why Do People Get Upset About Removing the Pledge?

"Under God" is actually secular. No religion owns God, His presence is simply inferred as per its definition.

Crowds like these tend to overreact. I'm not surprised.

Why would you do that in the first place?

Serious / How reliable are the ACA enrollment numbers?« on: October 11, 2014, 12:54:41 AM »
It is, in my opinion, that the ACA (Affordable Care Act) is one of the worst pieces of legislation ever passed by the US congress. However it's success is still up for debate. They claim that they were able to get seven million sign ups in the first few months (at the cost of two million jobs) but how many of those sign ups are even legit? We know that not everyone who signed up was originally without insurance, and we know that not everyone had technically finished signing up but were still included in that number anyway. It just leads me to wonder how much good it did for the amount of damage that it backfired.

Serious / Are you a democrat or republican?« on: October 11, 2014, 12:30:56 AM »
Sorry I don't know how to make a poll yet
I'm not sure if I would identify as a liberal republican or a conservative democrat. If I ask a democrat they tell me I should be a conservative democrat and if I ask a republican they tell me I should be a liberal republican. Well that's politics for you. 69
The Flood / Re: How do you pronounce ayy lmao?« on: October 11, 2014, 12:26:11 AM »
This reminds me that I was reading a text to one my friends and they called me out because I pronounced "LOL" as 'lol' instead of 'laughing out loud.'

Serious / Re: How morally responsible are psychopaths and serial killers?« on: October 11, 2014, 12:23:19 AM »
They are human, just like the rest of us. Just because it may be harder for them does not mean they're allowed any free breaks that can destroy other people's lives. Life is hard, and it may seem unfair, but there's no other solution other than to let them run loose without consequence just because they have a harder time controlling themselves.

You do realize there's far more evidence out there that you're forgetting that leads us to believe it's a gateway drug right? It's simply pot head logic to think that smoking anything is harmless. Smoking anything causes cancer.

All these anti-cop threads and posts are kind of sickening really. These people protect you and all you can do is call them out every time an accident happens. 77

Serious / Re: Do you believe in a god, if so why?« on: October 11, 2014, 12:08:30 AM »
God's existence is built into the definition of the predicate. You can't say God doesn't exist unironically when it's in the definition of God that he exists. The Catholic Church sorted this out centuries ago.
