Because nobody cares about a bad game?
Now I know to invalidate all of your opinions aboot Halo from here on out.

Halo died with Reach's TU.
343 are just defiling it's corpse.
Halo 5 is going to tank, hard.
Halo Wars is the only upcoming and future halo game that has a chance of being good and that's because 343 aren't making it.
Heresy
It's the truth.

Press LT to end the opinions you don't like
Press F to pay Disrespects
It must hurt though, to see a franchise you love slowly turn into the thing you all despise.
Killstreaks
Killcams

Loadouts

Soon enough, I won't need to buy CoD to play an arcadey clusterfuck of a game for two days and then never again.
Good thing that most of those things were taken out post-beta.
Or so they say, just you wait.
Okay. I will still enjoy the universe to its fullest.

Life is about more than just passing on your genes.
But we can pass much more than just DNA.

I concur wholeheartedly. The idea of having nothing, feeling nothing, affecting nothing, not being anymore, is just sickening. I'd take any amount of pain over nonexistence.

The stupidity of his comment was that nonexistence isn't a fate - it's where you start off. At least, in the scenario I contrived.

Edit: Obviously, the other part of the stupidity was that he's just wrong. There are fates worse than not existing.

Though I think it's stupid (at the least) to say that pain is better than no pain. Pretty much everyone would disagree with you, unless you had a predisposition to enforcing this idea that life=good, which you do. We can thank Verb for that.
But...the MEMES.

Create an afterlife where everyone goes to when they die. Then give myself immortality and live my life on Earth in luxury.

What would people do in the afterlife?

It would just be easier to let everyone die off. If you're omnipotent just make everyone sterile.
Instead give them immortality, that would naturally give people are reason not to mate.

I would think making everyone a master of the universe in some way sounds fun. An utopia of supermen and superwomen, would be preferable over oblivion.

For it to be preferable over oblivion it would have to be absolutely blissful; perfect.

But I see what you're saying. I would cut off my arm to be able to do the same to my foes with heat vision.
That's why I said utopia, dummy.
Heat vision is always awesome. Oh boy what I would give for flight as well...

Make existence perfect.
Would you finally give Captain Picard hair?

If he truly wanted it, yes.

I feel like I would essentially make everyone a master of their own universe, where anything that's tangible is just a product of the user's mind. No consequences.

Or do the easy thing and end all existence ever. But I want to be Big Boss so bad.

It's like you guys don't take into account the MP when comparing Halo games.
I really don't.
Well sad to say, it's part of what makes the whole picture, so you should. That being said, Halo 4's MP took away what Halo was, and was a mess for a long time.

Probably isn't now, but idk.
I came to Halo for the universe in it, even now I try to keep up with the lore. The MP was a bonus for me.

Okay, I mean I just wanted to know if people's moralities and ideals would conflict when given absolute power and stuff.

If given absolute power?

Morals wouldn't mean shit. Allow me to explain. People, when exposed to information, adapt and change. This is why you're different from now, to when you were a child. Since then you've collected more information, which, in turn, has shaped your views on things.

As a god, what do you think that would do?

You would be god. You'd be the end all, be all. Because you wouldn't be exposed to just one side of the coin. You would, be...everything. You would see, and know, everything. Every outcome, every event, every single possibility, good, or bad. And therefore, being exposed to such information, to such knowledge, your humanity would erase itself, instantly.

You morality would dissappear because the universe, is everything. But also, a blank slate. It doesn't pick good or evil. It doesn't choose who to kill and who to spare, and for what reasons. It just simply, is. At that level of existence, morality and ideals would mean nothing.
What if you were a god with a human mind still?

Then you wouldn't be a god. The problem with that little fallacy, is that human brains have limits. Physical limits to reaction speeds, processing speed, and information sorting and retainment.

You can't be a god with limits. Even if you set them for yourself. The closest you could probably get, would be separating yourself. A very small fraction of your intelligence from the whole, stuffed, and disconnected from the rest, into a human framework.
Would nigh-omnipotence fit better?

You'd still have a loss of humanity and disconnect to some degree.

 Aka Dr. Manhatten.
Pfft, there are better candidates than Dr. Blue Dick. Like the Silver Surfer, King Thor, and their ilk. Those two are far more powerful than Manhattan but still have some connection to mortality,

yeeeee

I just thought--maybe I'd be just like Clockwork. Living within another dimension, being sort of a caretaker of time. Anything catastrophic happens--I go back and prevent whatever small happenings that may have caused it. Maybe mess around a little bit--see what the world would've been like if Hitler was never born. Stuff like that.
oooohh I would love that concept

Jeez guy, I already said that I wasn't trying to justify my nature just because I was human. I'm flawed because being human is flawed, I can't really go anywhere else from there.
