Following the trail, Bastila and Serra found a cavern entrance. Entrails and limbs decorated the entrance, as if the great beast had been devouring people for a time now. "I have a bad feeling about this." Bastila said.
"The beast must still be inside." Serra said entering the cave with her green lightsabers activated. Bastila followed. It was clear that the beast here was quite large, it had eaten several people for the past weeks, it looked like. The stench of the cave and the guts on the ground made Bastila nauseous. But then they heard a sound...several in fact.
"What was that?" Bastila asked. From deep within the cavern, they heard a voice.
"Help me!" It screamed.
"Someone's trapped inside!" Serra said. The two Jedi ran towards the darkness to rescue the poor soul trapped within. That so familiar feeling enveloped Bastila again, the dark side. It was strong here. Reaching the origin of the screams, they found a man who had been severely injured.
"Don't worry, we're Jedi. We're here to save you." Bastila assured the man.
"No..its too late! Get away from me!" The man yelled.
"What are you...?" Serra was confused. But then the man began to morph, he began to bleed out of his eyes, nose, ears and mouth. His body parts growing and changing...his face becoming more feral and bestial. "By the Force..."
"Run...run back to the entrance!" Bastila yelled. "Rakghoul!"
The two of them tried to sprint back to the exit, but were met by a vicious pack of rakghouls. These beasts were created by the ancient Sith, whoever they bit they would turn into another rakghoul. There was no cure for this twisted disease. The two Jedi Knights were surrounded as the monsters roared and were eager for their next meal.
Bastila and Serra used the Force to push them back. They attacked the monsters with their sabers, slashing through their hides with ease. But as soon as one fell another took its place...these used to be the villagers of the ghost towns that the governor had told them about. Knowing that one bite or slash was fatal, Bastila used her abilities to avoid the attacks of the rakghoul. Her double-sided saber came in handy as she was able to take down more than a single beast at once. Serra used both her green lightsabers to good use as well.
The two moved elegantly as they killed every single rakghoul. But they heard more coming from deeper in cave. Taking the chance to retreat, the Jedis made it back to the entrance. They used the Force to collapse the cave's opening, stopping the rakghouls from escaping. "That was exciting." Serra said with a tired smirk.
"Yeah...I would rather not see these things again." Bastila responded.

Reaching Lorta, Bastila and Serra approach the local governor to find out what was happening. The governor tells them that beasts have come out of the ground and attacked the villages in the south. Everyone is gone, vanished into the wind. Some scouts were sent, that's how they were able to see the creatures. The monsters were horrible, like something out of the ancient tale of nightmares. "Don't worry, we'll see what's going." Bastila assures the scared man.
Traveling towards the south, the two Jedi begin to chat about their lives and the like. "So I was told that you faced Revan all by yourself on Morraband." Serra asked.
"Yeah, I did." Bastila answered in a relative prideful way. "It wasn't the best of places to do so."
"Hey at least you kicked his sidekick's butt good." Serra joked. They came towards what seemed to be one of the villages, it was in the center of a valley. The two Jedi Knights found ripped clothing and blood all over the grass in the center of the town. Serra inspected the clothing, "There's a trail."
She pointed towards the small forest nearby. "Should we follow? Its getting late." Bastila asked.
"Come on, Bastila, I bet it was some kind of predator. We can take it down, or are you scared?" Serra teased.
"Of course not! Let's follow that trail."

The convoy has arrived at the Ilum system. Wat Tamborvong has the genius idea of force feeding the gungan slave warriors all the kyber crystals
the gungans eat the crystals and mutuate into larger, more muscular, more ferocious versions of themselves. Their skin gains a reddish hue and their veins turn green. They have a sickly and feral yet bulky appearance. these Mutated Gungan Warriors possess greatly increased strength and spray superheated molten liquid from their mouths. A minority of the gungans mutate into even larger Gungan War Beasts. These beasts constantly excrete the superheated molten liquid when in battle and are surounded by toxic, corrosive clouds. They can hurl huge blobs of superheated liquid up to a distance of about 500 meters. These beasts are 25 meters tall and 40 meters long. they walk on all fours.
The Vong then strip mine Ilum of all its kyber crystals. The Glassers commence the Glassing of Ilum. Will be complete by page 30.

It appears we have another Naboo on our hands.
The Sith Empire would like to point out it has never infringed on The Republic's territory. If the Chancellor would like to take a look at the Star Maps he would see the close proximity Iseno is to a Sith controlled territory.
Leave the planet. You are trespassing on Sith ground.
The forces using fear tactics on Loronar and Byblos have rerouted to Iseno. They will arrive in a couple posts time.
The Jedi aboard the Bakura-class vessel, the Indomitable, would like to point out that Iseno is a neutral system. The distance to Sith territory is irrelevant. Iseno does not belong to the Sith.
Regardless, The Sith have landed first and demand you find a planet closer to the Ewoks.
The Tython Death Squad and Excalibur Destroyer has rerouted to Byblos.
The Jedi are willing to do anything to safeguard another world from the dark side. All stations are on the ready, the Force is strong with us.

A distress signal is sent from the Lorta system towards the Jedi Council. The local government wants the Jedi to come and investigate a strange occurrence. Several farming towns and the like have disappeared and no contact can be established and the local government is afraid to send the local militia to investigate. The Jedi Council has dispatched Jedi Knight Bastila Shan and Jedi Knight Serra Keto to investigate.
The Jedi also send 30 Bakura-class Star Destroyers towards the Iseno system, they'll be arriving by the next page.

The Jedi Order would like to make a proposition. In order to boost the effectiveness in the Republic Army, the Order asks if that in every battalion there to be at least 1 Jedi Knight to assist Republic Army officers. And as well to be several Jedi X-Wing pilots within each squadron of Republic Navy starfighters.
The Republic accepts these terms. Colonel Rhodes and the 14th Division will send a ship to Endor to retrieve any Jedi set to serve.
Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi, Aayla Secura, Que-Mas Redath-Gom, Ord Enisence are ready to be transported, accompanying them are Jedi Masters Cin Dralling, Jocasta Nu, Plo Koon, Yaddle.
Are there any preferences as to which division each Jedi serves in?
Obi-Wan and Plo Koon are excellent starfighter pilots and tacticians, Cin Dralling is a born-leader best suited to lead squads of soldiers. As for the others the Order is confident that the Republic will find the best use for their Jedis' talents.

As she walked back towards where the Force of the Father commanded her to, Bastila was accompanied by the Son, who was smiling sinisterly. Bastila felt that the Force was growing in strength within her, each time she faces against this type of dangers. Perhaps the Son was right about what he said...Revan's days were numbered.
Arriving to an arena, the Father was standing in the middle. "I see that you were successful in changing my Son's mind." Father said.
"Yes, indeed, Father." Son remarked.
Obi-Wan and the Daughter stood on the other side of the coliseum. "As I have you know, Jedi, that by nature my children are hostile towards each other. Convincing them is next to impossible. I can see a lie from a mile away." Father said as he teleported himself away. Bastila and Obi-Wan were left in the middle of the Daughter and the Son's gazes. "While neither of you are the Chosen One, I have grown desperate. You will need to bring balance, one way or another."
"What?!" Obi-Wan yelled. The Son and the Daughter transformed into beasts as the growled at each other. The Daughter was now a gigantic white eagle and the Son was now an immense black gargoyle. The flew around like a pack of vultures. "They're going to kill us!"
The two Jedi Knights ignited their lightsabers, this had been a trap. Orchestrated by the Father to find a replacement. Bastila began to think about what she was going to do against two Force demigods fighting for supremacy over the other. But then taught back unto the fight she had with Darth Sicarius on Morraband. She focused deeply into the Force, looking for the best way to overcome these obstacles. Unlike in the Sith tombs, the dark side was not dominant here...the Light Side was powerful as well.
Father noticed Bastila's connection to the Force itself increasing, surprisingly. The Jedi used her Battle Meditation technique to look into the Force to find the weakness of her enemies. These entities were beings of the Force, physical embodiments of the light and dark sides of the Force. And Mordis is, like Father said it was, made of the Force. She turned her lightsaber off.
"What are you doing?!" Obi-Wan asked her.
Bastila extended her arms, "Something crazy." Bastila said as she called unto the Force for assistance. While not being the Chosen One and not being able to control both sides of the Force, she could influence it. Bastila was a Jedi, the light side was strong in her, but after recent events, the dark side had taken hold inside her soul as well. Using the Force in Mordis to amplify her abilities, she Force Pushed both the Son and the Daughter into the sides of the arena. The gigantic beasts fell hard, creating large holes in the coliseum. Both entities transformed back into humanoids, confused they ran back into the middle of the arena. The Daughter was surprised by this feat, as no one ever who was a mere human was this influential in the Force, influential enough to at least push her and her brother away, albeit it did nothing serious to them.
The Son growled in anger. This was not the day to escape this prison of a world. Just yet. The Son turned his back to them and left the arena and back to his dark hole in the volcanoes. "Congratulations, you did exactly what I believed you would." Father said.
"What?" Bastila asked.
"Ever since the Chosen One fell into the dark side, the balance of the Force had been all but gone. I have grown weaker each passing day. That's why I called to you, to not only aid me in keeping my children a bay. My Son will not try another attack for another decade or so. I also summoned you to teach you something important in your journey to overcome the Dark Lord."
"You could've just told us." Obi-Wan said.
"The Force works in mysterious ways, and the day approaches when your destiny and the destiny of the Dark Lord meet at a crossroads. Your fates connected to each other. I do not know what the outcome will be, but take the teachings of the Jedi, of Darth Bane, and what you felt here to heart, young one. You will need to use both sides if you ever hope in matching the Dark Lord." Father told Bastila.
Bastila was hesitant in doing what he said, was he right? Was her fate tied to the Dark Lord? Questions that only the Council could confirm...the Father allowed her and Obi-Wan to return back towards their ship. The galaxy awaited them.

Now alone, Bastila went on to search for the being known as the Son. From what it seemed, he resided somewhere in the darkest regions of Mortis. 'Great.' Bastila thought. This would've be the third time she enters into places full of the dark side. The cloudy storm skies and the volcanoes that decorated the landscape only increased Bastila's want to leave this place, but she was already here so whatever. Following a trail that led towards the great caverns that rested beneath the volcanoes, Bastila felt a call. It was from the Force. She followed it deeper into the cavern.
A sea of lava met her. She stepped over a piece of rock to see how deep she was in the caves. "Jedi..." A voice creeped up behind her. She turned and ignited her lightsaber. "At ease, my dear Jedi, I am not your enemy."
"You must be the Son." Bastila said, turning off her saber. "I'm here to put an end to this conflict you have with your family."
"Ah yes...Father did pick the most peculiar of people to come dissuade from my goal. You are indeed very peculiar. You seem to be troubled, what plagues your mind? Perhaps we can help each other." Son said.
"Well...the galaxy is in a really bad shape right now. With the Sith taking over, and the Jedi Order being able only to halt them for a while...and this Dark Lord of the SIth...he is bad. Very bad. But I feel like something's off about him, I don't know." Bastila answered.
"Yes, I can feel the doubt within you. I can help you resolve this conflict and bring down this Dark Lord if you help me as well." Son said.
"Oh yeah? What do you want?"
"First, my young friend, you need to see something." Son began to walk backwards. "If you're gonna aid me, you have to know more of yourself."
Dark clouds began to form around Bastila, "What the?!" the clouds swirled relentlessly until she began to see visions on them. Of her battling Darth Revan aboard a ship, a planet burned below them, and she was kneeling before the dark lord. In frustration and disbelief on what she saw, Bastila used her Force push to destroy these visions and dark clouds.
"The Dark Side of the Force is strong within you. But with my help we can put a stop to this. We can save the galaxy and bring peace to the Jedi Order." Son said.
"Do you...promise?" Bastila asked. The Son took advantage of Bastila's emotionally weakened state and smirked.
"Of course. Let's go."

Holy Crusade against the Republic now?
