Master Koala, I need a new hidden blade. I broke mine......uh.......doing things......yeah
It will cost you. You blade is one of a kind, part of your being. By breaking it you are breaking a part of yourself, and a broken Assassin is dangerous. Let it be only a one time occasion.
Uh, Ted down at the smithy makes them everyday for like $30. Not really a big deal......
Quality before quantity.

we're gonna need another finger.
What is this, the Third Crusade?
He is just using the ancient models. We have laser hidden blades now instead of steel.
*Plasma
Unless you want an endless beam of high power that would be stupid to strap on your arm, let alone be near it.
Yep, plasma sounds better.

It's too boring.
What is?
The world.
, why
The only stuff that happens is fucking depressing. Terrorists, an incredibly small science breakthrough that likely wont be utilised for decades, shit economy, shitty everything. Idiots sat in positions of power hampering real progress because 'wind farms don't look pretty' and stupid shit like that and just generally a world that isn't interesting. The things I find interesting I don't want to do because I'm forced to do it at school and the only way to get a job or university placement seems to be by doing things that are irrelevant to it. Call me up when we land a human on Mars or we develop Nuclear Fusion as a reliable power source. Fuck, even a nuclear war or zombie virus would be interesting as your concerns aren't menial shit like if your CV looks good, just food and water, just simple.
There's a reason I like writing science fiction. The world I'm creating is a world I want to experience. Because this one isn't.

We are in that moment in history that bridges in-between science fiction and science reality. It make take us a half a century or a bit more but these times will pass and we will hopefully make our way out of the cradle world and into the stars.
Just give it time.
That's it. The thing that ultinately kills me is knowing that if/when we eventually begin building an interplanetary empire, I will not be around to see it. Or I will be too old to enjoy it.
And as a pessimist at heart, that's a big if in itself. My belief is that idiots holding civilisation back will be the ones that eventually mean overpopulation and the lack of renewable energy mean we eventually go to war and kill each other. That's my view on the world and why I always sound depressed all the time.
Have you ever read a series called Timeriders by Alex Scarrow? Probably not, but I believe they have a realistic vision of the world. Flooding gets rid of a lot of landmass, the survivors are crammed in cities so polluted that you need a gas mask to breathe and the few remaining governments are fitting each other for the last oil drops. In the series, NK ends up releasing a bioweapon virus that wipes out the entire planet.
I'm a glass half full kind of person, but I can see the dangers that humanity can do to itself. But as the Cold War proved, humanity...no matter how dumb it can get sometimes, will never kill itself off. Even if all the bombs in the world were to be set off into all corners of the globe humanity would survive. We are a persistent species, like roaches, we will find someway to rebuild from ashes. But hopefully that will never happen and we will make our leap.

That looks terrible. Thank god the franchise will never go more modern than the Victorian Era.
How does it look terrible? The blades are literally more efficient than steel hidden blades.

Armies fight on land and are brought in as a first attack force...Marines are transported via ships and are generally better trained than your regular Army grunt. The way that Halo did it was most correct since Marines can be found within Navy vessels while Army Troopers are more of a defensive military branch.
Google is my friend.
Google wasn't my friend. All I found was arguments about which was better trained.
Happens. Marines have longer bootcamp training than average soldiers, meaning that they are mostly better trained.
I don't even understand how that's an argument. Their physical requirements are tougher, they spend more time on the range, the hikes are longer.
There has always been rivalry in between branches...except the Air Force.

It was interesting, but not really relevant to what I'm looking for. I'm horrible at research.
Speaking of it, what kind of military is your story trying to resemble? The US Military is pretty easy to copy because how organized it is. If you want to stand out you might want to do something different though.

It's always the people I don't know that make these threads.
He is rich, lives in Florida, drives a lambo, and is like seventeen. Now humor him.
He is also a cool guy, likes cars, doesn't see himself as rich even though he has wealth, and is overall a good member.
No, he is not going to sleep with you and give you money.
I wasn't even implying that, Noelle. Sigh.

I prefer the cold to it being really hot. I can tolerate the cold and actually enjoy going for walks in the cold, but when it starts getting below zero then it sucks.

Heyyy no more ''i could have made my point in a few sentences or less but instead i turned it into a motivational wall of text'' posts.
Well, recover or dont. I feel indifferent.
Indifference is better than total objection. Very well, there is no harm done.

It especially irritates me when RPers aren't consistent, or do not follow their own rules that they've established. This is most prevalent in drawings, where the character drawn is rarely illustrated in the same way. RPing is an unbelievable waste of time. I stopped after it seemed that it wasn't welcomed by some. Taking the persona of an established character is one of those things that really grates on my nerves because people don't take the time to actually immerse themselves in the role. I can't prove that you didn't, but when I see people RP has Nickelodeon or Nintendo characters, for example, and they start cursing and shit? Like... Why would Princess Zelda say "dammit"? Or "fucking"?
I don't know. All I know is, if I liked RP, I'd be the greatest RPer ever.
sorry for not being up your standards m8
You know, I don't mind roleplaying at all, but Vein takes it way too far.
I do not know of this Vein you speak of, but surely he isn't as cool as Vien.
I have no idea what's going on anymore. I think I broke some kind of reality barrier just now.
Who the hell am I? I don't even know me anymore.
It is?
