The others left leaving Jill behind as she was going through the security desk, there was nothing. Jill sat on the chair behind the desk and sighed. There had to be something in this place that could get give her some clues on the Flood-Virus that Umbrella had been studying in the Yukon. Then she got an idea, what about the quarters? There must be something in there. She stood up and went on to the west wing, everything was written in Russian but she guessed where she was going by the fact that the surroundings became more "friendly" and less utilitarian.

And by friendly, she meant fancy. The Soviet commissars surely loved the fancy living style of life, for communists. This area reminded Jill of the Spencer Mansion, from the luxurious wooden walls, Arabian rugs and blood stains everywhere. The only thing that was missing was the occasional zombie trying to attack her from the corner of the room. Jill went in through the guard barracks, it was amazingly dark. The bunks messy and full of...remains. Frozen remains. Thanks to the sub-zero weather the rotten smells of the carcass remains were absent.

Jill arrived to the officer room, where the military overseer slept in. The door was locked, typical. She needed a key to open it. Seemed that whatever happened here forced the officer to either lock the room before he left or lock himself inside the bedroom. Doubtful that he would just run away and risk execution. Nevertheless Jill needed to get inside. She aimed her pistol at the doorknob and fired. The sound of gunfire echoed through the halls along with the sharp noise of a doorknob striking the wooden floor. Jill slowly pushed the door inside, peeking her pistol inside the bedroom.

There was a small candle still lit, odd...the skeleton of the Soviet commissar rested on top of the chair of his small office. There was a hole on the side of his skull, and a piston on the ground. Suicide. Jill approached the officer's desk and went through it. Papers of tests and the like, of subjects supplied by the Soviet's benefactors. Jill didn't like the sound of that, benefactors...

The Russians codenamed the subjects "Shaping Sickness" and reported that each test subjects, people taken from the Balkan satellite countries, were brutally attacked and deformed by the virus carriers. They became extremely violent and physically powerful with long tendrils growing from their arms. After each test, the test chambers were cleansed with high amounts of fire with the hopes of eliminating the spores that the monsters gave out. The last report was on December 20th, 1980, in it were detailed examinations of deceased patients after infection. And of that came the test on live population centers around the testing facility.

The entire town, composed of mostly Mongolian locals, was wiped out in mere minutes. Soviet troops were sent in to exterminate the virus but were also lost, eventually everything was covered in snow and the Russians hoped that that would've been the end to it. This is everything that Jill needed to know, she knew what this place was and what it held. Still, the virus was still unknown and could be potentially used by anyone who stumbled into this place. Jill placed the report files in her backpack and turned to leave the room when she heard something.

People in New England are used to shitty weather. It's the Californians that freak out over some light rain.

"IT'S A RAIN STORM OH NO THIS IS SO CRAZY"

Dustin you've already been proven wrong on this seeing as how NorCal gets similar weather to the Northeast.

It's north easterners that cry that the world is ending because of a 0.5 earthquake. Meanwhile California doesn't even wake up for anything less than a 5.0.
Nigga, take a look at this shit.

Do you see a fault line near New England, or anywhere on the Atlantic seaboard for that matter? You're goddamn right the world is ending if there's a 0.5 earthquake.
I giggled when I saw the Juan de Fuca plate.

Yep! But I suggest not to tinker with anything alien we find in other planets, some things were meant to be kept secret.

The three of them entered the derelict building, it was dark so they activated their flashlights and slowly walked inside the darkness. It wasn't something that Chris and Jill hadn't tackle before, they had survived being stuck inside the Spencer Mansion and Racoon City and have basically have gone through it all together. The alien on the other hand, he was a wildcard. Jill trusted her new found ally from the stars, from this Covenant, but she still had a hint of doubt in the back of her mind.

The tree entered the building's lobby hall, it looked like a research center alright, possibly a military one abandoned after the USSR fell apart. Jill walked towards the security desk in the center of the hall and went through the papers on top of the wooden desk. "There must be something here that can tell us who used this place." Jill said as she looked around. "You guys go on ahead, find whatever landed in here."

Jill and Chris took position next to the entrance of the abandoned building readying to enter, but the alien simply walked in front of the door and kicked it down. "Never mind a subtle entry. Come on."

Chris looks towards Jill."I just realized due to this blizzard any footprints will be erased really quickly. I guess our only options are to actually fine one or look inside these buildings."
"Its going to be tough to find footprints in the snow, Chris. We better get inside and look for clues in there."
