Nobody gives a fuck about the first two games.
You mean apart from the long time fans of the franchise?
Nobody cares about those people either. Bethesda made a dead series actually worthwhile, and all you kids do is try to shit on them.
That's not exactly a fair view though. The first 2 games are fantastic in their own right. Just because the way old fans treat the franchise like shit now doesn't mean you have to shit on the old games. Without the original 2 games we wouldn't have Fallout 3 & New Vegas to begin with.

why listen to podcasts when you could be listening to music or audio porn
Why do that when you could listen to a fan breezing into your hair.

whats happened now?
Nothing. It's just people always tell me Sep7agon is nothing but a place full of drama and shitposting and that it's most likely going to die. I disagree.

Landfall was so fucking cool in the fact that not only was it the first live action anything from halo but it was also part of a movie. Albeit it was a cancelled but it was a cool movie none the less.

I listen to a lot of podcasts in which I usually just fall asleep half way into them. That said the Sep7agon podcast is pretty weird considering it's people I've actually met before and not random famous internet people.

Halo 5 actually looks like it's not going to be complete shit. I haven't been this excited for a Halo game since Halo 3. Fucking 2015 with all it's sexy ass games coming out.
You base the quality of a game on how good it looks?

Kill yourself
Lemon pls. I'm too good for that gameplay shit.

Have you seen those Unreal Engine 4 screenshots? Mmmm... Delicious.

Fallout 3 was a good post-apocalyptic aRPG, just not a good Fallout game.
Fallout 3 was the best Fallout game, actually.

Considering a lot of people are flaming at this site because the amount of shitposting/drama going on here, how long you think it's got left? It's also worth noting Sep7agon is about to reach it's 1 year anniversary in about 2 months so it's lasted long enough at this point.

Honestly I enjoy posting on here. There's enough people here I enjoy talking to and hanging out with and some of the posts are interesting.

Honest thoughts.

Fallout 3 is a better game. It has a much better atmosphere, more interesting NPCs (besides companions), and the quests were more fun. The setting was also far superior and more interesting to explore, which is what the game is about. New Vegas obviously improved on some gameplay features, and the actual quests for your companions were great. Sequels are supposed to improve things obviously.

Fallout 3 just did a better job of putting you into a post-apocalyptic setting. I am glad that Bethesda is developing the next game and not Obsidian.
A lot of people seem to have a thing against Bethesda, Especially after their recent handling of Skyrim. I doubt they care. They know Fallout 4 is going to make them bucket loads of money anyway.

I'm exactly the same way.  I got to the part in NV where you meet this guy called Mr House, and the story starts to really unfold, but I was so unmotivated to do anything.

Fallout NV is definitely a game with more depth than 3, better RPG mechanics, etc... but I couldn't get into it solely because the environment wasn't interesting or memorable enough for me.  Fallout 3 had all the metros, the ruined city, which took up a massive chunk of the map, the uniquely themed towns, the famous monuments, etc...

Rumor is Fallout 4 will take place in Boston, so if it implemented NV mechanics/depth into an interesting environment like that (bias because I'm from there), then I'd be sold.
That's probably why I don't enjoy F3 as much. That and the fact at first F:NV feels almost exactly the same and I was coming of just beating Fallout 3 that it didn't seem that different to invest another 200 hours on.

Commie

But srsly there's no such thing as true freedom.  There's certain rules you're supposed to follow (you don't have to, but in the interest of self-preservation you should).
At least in China & Russia they straight up tell you, you have no rights. Instead of making stupid terms in words to make people feel better.

Gaming / Fallout 3 Or New Vegas?
« on: March 15, 2015, 10:19:25 AM »
Now this isn't really a topic I can actually have a proper opinion on. I've beaten Fallout 3 and have about 200 hours logged into it. For whatever reason though I just can't get into New Vegas. I'm only 3 hours in but I never find an incentive to continue on with the game. At some point I'm just going to have to sit with a big bag of Doritos, A big jug of Mountain Dew and finally tackle the game.

But to the point of the topic.

In the Fallout 4 thread from a week ago there was a lot debate about what was the better Fallout game.
I liked Fallout 3 but apparently (to my surprise a lot of people didn't) So I've decided to make this thread.

Leave comments of why which game is better would you kindly.

The Flood / Is there really such a thing as a free world?
« on: March 15, 2015, 10:05:44 AM »
I'm not trying to be super metaphysical or some shit, but I've been thinking quite a bit recently.

We say the term the free world, meaning free world. The right to do what we want. But we aren't aloud to go around hitting people or swear at people. Our rights are counter acted by others rights.

Then there's the fact that we're forced to do things that maybe we don't want to do. For instance it's compulsory to attend school in most countries. Which then you need the knowledge you obtain to do work and make money. Even then we have to do work to survive otherwise there really isn't any other choice/alternative.

It makes me think if "free world" is just a term to make us feel as though we're better off then others. We should come up with a better name for this like "Not shooting each other world" or "World with money".

Free World just doesn't really have any meaning to me when I really get down to it. Someone please explain to me if I'm thinking about this the wrong way. Or if I'm just becoming an anti sort of person.

I thought 343 said they were giving ODST the remaster treatment like CE & 2. If that's not the case, I don't really care all that much anymore.

As a fan of Resident Evil games, I can say 4 wasn't really a "horror" game.
Ok, we get it. RE 4 isn't like the other games. But it needed to change otherwise the series would have died out. It may not be a horror game. But RE 4 is the main reason we still have Resident Evil today. Just saying.
Uhm... you mean the series that completely got rid of everything it did that made it popular? The one that made it more action and we got 5 (which wasn't a bad game, just a terrible title for Resident Evil) and 6?

Yeah, REEEEAL lucky we got 4. Once you got to that island bit in 4, everything horror about that game was done. Since then it's been nothing but a mess and it needs a reboot at this point.
Honestly I think it should too. All I was saying was that Resident Evil was getting stale and they needed to change it up. RE 4 was still a fantastic game and it feels like Capcom is atleast trying to make things better by re-releasing RE Remake on next gen and Revelations 2 being more horror focused.

The Flood / Re: What do you guys think of Netflix?

It's fucking awesome. Especially in Australia where we have things like Foxtel which are just raping the television industry.
They even ate Austar :c

(like I know it was shit, but there's no competition now)

*sips tea*
Thankfully Netflix is coming to Australia on the 28th I think. So I'll no longer have to use proxies and stuff to use it. It's most likely going to have less then half of the shows though. I'm calling it now.
Well of course, its Australia! We, for no good reason get all the half-assed things, and everything else last.

*sips tea*
It's because the country is run by people that don't understand how the world works. It's been like this for the last 114 years.
