Christmas just becomes a bit pointless once you get older. It kind of is a commercial holiday.
It is just consumerism being thrown at your face.
It can be good, but most people lose the whole "spend time with friends and family" part and focus on the giving and getting.

I just ask for $50 bucks and I'm good.
I don't care about the gifts. I've hardly gotten anything for the past two years anyway. Last Christmas was my first time without my family, but I still had my friends...and the family of my now ex. I won't be able to spend the holidays with any of the people I care about this year because they threw me out.
