Honestly I like Portal because of how well written it is. Re-playability is quite low, so once you've beaten it Portal really just becomes a comedy skit that you watch every now and then, and as for Left 4 Dead being the best series. After playing it for over a few hundred hours the game just seems to dissolve into boring repetitiveness. Plus everyone knows Valves best game is... Spoiler ricochet
