tbh being weaker is more an indication that the writing isn't shit tier than anything else

Ever read Sandman?

Spider-Man probably couldn't beat a Jedi, but Cap could totally take a Spartan if he had to.

Isn't Jim Gordon a tired old man? Suddenly he's a jacked, mid-30s badass.

Yeah a major conflict in the new issues is Jim struggling with becoming Batman
Especially physically

There's a lot of stuff about how much he needs to be supplemented in order to keep up with the stress

I mean look at all this shit he's jacked up on lol

Also, didn't the Joker murder Gordon with an axe in Endgame?  How'd he recover from that?

He didn't die.

Ugh, what did they do to Superman? Don't cater to your shitty writers by making him weaker.

The only character redesigns I don't despise are Flash and Aquaman.

I actually think that this is a huge opportunity for the writers to do some really interesting stuff with Supes and really flesh out his character instead of just having him punch shit

They just need to avoid putting in physically powerful villains

It would be, but they didn't do anything like that. They could have him fight a major villain using his wits like he did back in the Silver Age, to show that he's still Superman even without his powers. Instead he's mostly fought street-tier bad guys and acted like a douche to his friends. The whole Truth arc is a mess.

Superman: Lois and Clark, on the other hand, has been spectacular so far.

First Kupo was like "Sup guys I'm here"

But then Challenger was like "FUCK OUTTA HERE"

Spoiler

That, or Superman might be the 'god of strength'. Nobody knows, because DC's continuity is a trainwreck right now.

The Metroid series does not interest me. I like Samus (as to my knowledge, she wasn't initial a sex object like she is now)

That's 8-bit. Dumbass.

Close enough. Dumbass.

I guess spending the last two years of my life trying to get one of those "job" things that everyone talks about obviously means that I "CHOOSE" not to get a job.

What was that shit you told me about not getting one until you're 21?

Quote
It's not because they end up hiring somebody else, or anything.

They know there's people more worthwhile than you. Most people, actually.

Quote
And just because I don't have the money now, doesn't mean I'm still not liable for payment.
It's a little thing called "debt", shithead.

Oh, okay. I won't have that for long since I've been paying most of it off already, but I can see how that'll be a problem for you.

Vegans save 200 animals every year, JUST by being vegan.

Cool, more meat for me.

Quote
As for being straight-edge, keeping my mind away from mind-altering substances unlike the vast majority of my peers is an accomplishment, and denial of that is sheer stupidity.

"I feel like I've accomplished something by not deliberately harming myself."

I take it not wandering into traffic is an achievement as well?

Quote
I agree--every adult should know how. They don't because that's the type of society we live in.

Everybody I know on campus has a job, or has had a job. They're not hard to find, and they're not hard to get.

The Flood / Re: Being straight-edge is cool as fuck

They actually didn't.

You can't have much money since you choose not to get a job (which is worse than just being worthless - you're worthless by choice), so it's a fair bet somebody else paid for it. Either that or it's a cheap-ass college.

Quote
Yeah it is.

Holy shit, how much did I achieve when I slept last night? I did nothing for six hours straight. I wonder if I'll be as productive tonight, too.

Quote
Enjoy being a shittier person than me.

I will, just as much as I enjoy being able to feed and shelter myself, since every adult should know how at this point. :^)

I consider the fact that I'm in college,

Which your parents paid for.

Quote
my veganism, and the fact that I'm straight-edge to be accomplishments on a small scale.

Choosing not to do shit isn't an accomplishment.

Quote
Expecting a 20 year old to be able to take care of him or herself in this day and age is unreasonable. 21 or 22, maybe.
But not 20.

I'm managing it just fine. Stop making excuses for being a lazy, worthless burden.

I could def see verbatim in 10 years as a struggling stunt cock in the adult film industry living underneath some rubble deep within the shittiest confines of southern Europe.

I was just thinking the exact same thing.

Aliens, sure. If there's benevolent life out there, I could tell everyone where it is and how to communicate with it. If there's malevolent life out there, I could tell everyone how to fight them, or at least avoid them.
