The Nexus...

Get it?
I do, I do. New Nexus has just be announced but it's rather expensive and ridiculously large.
you should get a previous version. Pretty much just as good, but given how the electronics market goes. It will be really cheaper.
That is true. Currently looking at the Oneplus One, which looks awesome for the price.
no clue what that is.
Here. It's got a screen, specs, camera and battery life to match the new Nexus and Samsung Galaxy, both of which are more than twice as expensive. Only downsides are that it does not come with a replacable battery and that you need an invite before you can buy one.
That is an awesome phone. How do you get invited?
Either by receiving an invite from someone who already owns the phone, or by winning it in a promotional event or something.
You wouldn't happen to know someone would you?
Not that I know of, but I have friends who have friends so maybe I can get one from them.
Swag. Hope you get it. It looks really cool.
Thanks man, hoping to get my hands on it.
If you get one, you should invite me. I would probably maybe get one or not.
If I can, I will. You may have to compete with other people though, I can think of quite a few friends or family members that may be interested.

But as far as I know, you get more than one invite, so we'll see.
I'll suck your dick for it.
Eh, I think I'll pass. Thanks for the offer though, I guess? >_>
lol

Hm, good point.
Not the only good point. ;)
Lol.
wait. You got what I was saying? I sure as hell didn't.
I thought I saw a reference and some innuendo there. Maybe I was wrong though, but the wink face did give me that impression.
it was. I just didn't think it made sense.

Of course I don't believe it. That's why I wrote "these people believe free speech means they can say what they like without backlash" as if it were some sort of diplomatic immunity.

I understand what you're trying to say, but these people will only escalate things even further if we ignore them. Because it's not like they do it for us, they do the same shit every thread themselves.

Either punishments get harsher because of a few people, or we try to talk some sense into them.
But they aren't going to listen to sense. They have no reason to. Nothing can be done to them unless  a mod does something, and then that is when punishments are harsher. People get mad and leave, "Hur dur the site is not what is used to be," and shit like that.
Well, telling people to get their acts together isn't detrimental to the site. If the majority of us tell the minority causing problems to act right, they'll start to rethink how they act here at least.
I'm sorry, but it won't. It'd be nice if it would, but they will just continue, and it will get worse the more people bring it up. Look at Dustin.
In that case the mods will get more serious. At least we tried reasoning with them.
I guess so.

the only way for this problem to be solved is for people to get overtly offended by people who don't matter, and for other people to stop being cocks with the intention to cocks for no reason
Except this right here is exactly what the problem is.

Wait, so you're saying that the only people who should be allowed to talk about an issue that directly affects everyone in this community, especially if it comes to this place getting shut down, are staff members? That logic is asinine at best.
Lol Dammit, I missed a word. I mean they shouldn't get overtly offended and people should stop being jerks. I'm saying though, is that everyone knows the issue, and it can't be solved with everyone talking about it continuously. It can only really be solved by them stopping or being removed. They are not gonna stop just because people make threads though. It only just continues the problem.

so many pussies here. Some people here just need to grow dong and grow a backbone. if you get offended by trolls, then they've succeeded in their goal. I also find it funny when all the butthurts here claim to never be butthurt.

We need more carefree and chilled attitudes here.
To draw inspiration for the booty love Cam, people here need to toke up more often.

As much as you'd like to think that simply not talking about the issue would fix it, that's not the case. You haven't been here long enough to realize that this has been a reoccurring theme for a while now. Considering the fact that this is an open forum, everyone has the ability to speak their mind on anything they'd like. This was on my mind and I thought I'd share it, unless my idea on this whole forum thing is completely off.

Usually the way problems are solved is through a combined effort of discussion and compromise with the parties involved. I'm only encouraging those things, so if that's your idea of someone being "full of themselves" then you need to have a reality check.
No, actually the only way for this problem to be solved is for people to get overtly offended by people who don't matter, and for other people to stop being cocks with the intention to cocks for no reason. Nothing is solved by making a thread, unless you were an admin addressing the issue and handing out punishments, but you're not. And yeah usually they are solved by that, in the real world, but maybe you need a reality check if you would think it'd work here. And you might not be full of yourself, but these kinds of threads sure do not contribute to the contrary.

Whine more about shit that doesn't matter why don't you?
Yes I will.

Hey Nexus, just because someone makes a thread telling people to grow up and stop fighting and gets a lot likes as a result of it doesn't mean he's fishing for likes or being an attention whore.

I don't know who you were on b.net or if you're even from there, but Nasty is the farthest thing from an attention whore. He just cares about the community and doesn't want to see it go down due to people being childish.

It's funny you say he's unimportant and his post does nothing but contribute to the drama, while at the same asking us to listen to you instead while trying to engage OP in an argument. I tip my hat to you sir.

Ignoring this won't make it go away. There are a select few people who take things way too seriously and personally, and there is another group which believes free speech means you can say what you like without backlash. These people keep bumping heads and ignoring them or laughing at them doesn't solve anything. If anything, we need to engage them in discussion and try to get these people to get along.
Wait, you actually fucking believe the scapegoat free argument? It's nothing. It's bullshit that people hide behind so they can try and say what they want. They don't care about free speech, they care about being assholes. And, I guess I might have jumped the gun on the attention whoring argument, but it is still a valid complaint. And I was never on Bnet so....

Okay, let's do this.

I made this thread because I'm never actually here for any of the shit that happens since I'm busy during the day.
So what does it really have to do with you then? You're not involved in it, you weren't there for it. How can you really talk about it then?

Just because you claim I'm trying to whore for attention doesn't redact the point that I made in the OP. My popularity or reputation here is irrelevant to my basis of making the thread,
It has nothing to do with trying to redact anything you said in the OP, but more of why you said it. You're motivation behind the stuff you say matters too. Your OP made be valid but it does not stop anything. Hence your motivation behind why you made is for selfish reasons along with your thread being pointless. Even if you aren't full of yourself on an internet forum. You made the thread because you thought what you said mattered enough. It doesn't. You're not important enough to continue to make a thread continuing forum drama that would be done with if everyone shut the fuck up. No one is. So anyone making a thread with their take is stupid, and they are full of themselves. That is the only way to look at it.

because I would've done the same fracking thing if I just joined the site today.
Really? "I guess the "confession" I'm trying to make is that I miss the beginning stages of this site," This sounds like something from a user who joined yesterday, clearly.

You act like you know everything about me, so please, continue to make baseless assumptions  :D
  Can do.
