So here's my wager to you. What are your odds that you're going to find somebody who doesn't want kids? Or who might suddenly change their mind in the future once they get closer and closer to the point of no return, and not being able to have kids?

No. My "excuse" is that I'm not very social. I've a tendancy to turn away from people. Insecurities project rather easily. Both males and females are good at reading each other subconsciously.
Show no interest towards somebody, and they'll show no interest back.
My handy dandy excuse is that I've constructed my own discomfort. It's a bit tricky to change on a dime.
