Gaming / Re: Did Skyrim always look that bad on console« on: June 21, 2016, 09:35:56 PM »a nuclear wastelandA nuclear meltdown is worse than an air bursting nuke and Chernobyl has recovered just fine in a quarter of the time. The area isn't safe for people to live in, but it's not a wasteland. The wild has reclaimed the area and made it look like this. Spoiler As you can see it's entirely possible to make a place look like it's been ravaged by a nuclear disaster without making it look like it's a barren wasteland. All of this overgrowth happened in 30 years as well, think of what it'll look like in another 170. If you think the green tinted wasteland looks good that's fine, just don't try to justify Bethesda's art direction with something along the lines of "well it's supposed to look like this because there were a bunch of nukes dropped on it". Spoiler I should probably include somewhere in here that I actually don't use any mods like resurrection that would make FO3 and 4 look more like they would if fallout happened in real life and largely stick to Bethesda's original art direction for the series. I'm not trying to hate on them or tear them down for their choice, just dispel the notion that it's in anyway representative of what would happen in real life. 2133

Turned the trees red and damaged the animals. But yeah, not like Fallout.a nuclear wasteland By recovered just fine I mean in the way of plant life. Obviously it still isn't really safe for humans or other animals to live in. It wasn't "hundreds of bombs hitting the same target", they were spread out across the entire country hitting the major population centers. The DC area specifically was hit with a low yield bomb which is why a lot of it is still intact. 2134

It's more like they used the old Kestrel design from Halo 2 and made it look more modern.

Workshop DLC is easy stuff to do since modders have already paved the way for what Bethesda is going to do.

That has nothing to do with it. Nobody really cared outside of a small section of the gaming community that was circle jerking over it. The real answer is that EA thinks that it'll be more profitable in the long run to approach things like this. 2148
Gaming / Re: Nier won E3« on: June 21, 2016, 02:22:46 AM »
If they're going to do an announcement what other platforms it's coming to it'll either be for Gamescom or TGS.
Or they can do something unconventional and announce it on Twitter like SE did for KH3. 2149
Gaming / Re: Nier won E3« on: June 21, 2016, 02:17:20 AM »Wonder what the other platforms are going to be since the game apparently isn't PS4 exclusive. No idea which is more likely since the PC has been getting nearly all of the console games lately and the boner allows for publishers and devs to get somewhat of a "second launch" for their older titles due to backwards compatibility and it's been common for devs to bundle in their older titles with the current gen ones on that system. Maybe if we're lucky it'll be both. 2150

Reminder that piracy =/= a lost sale.
Studies have actually shown that piracy increases sales, particularly for small time devs and musicians since their products get the exposure they otherwise wouldn't have. 2155

Just updated and given a bit of a facelift. Not going to contest you on a lot of F-Zeros popularity these days being because of Captain Falcon memes cause it's true. 2160
