Am I the only one not too bothered by this? These aren't new weapons, perks, killstreaks or overhauls of how the game plays. No double jumping, wallrunning, jetpacking, supply drops or so on. It's just more customisation and cosmetics, it seems. The weapon kits are cause for concern, but I'm reserving judgment until release. Also, I'm also kinda happy with this. It's nice to see that they do intend to actually maintain MWR instead of just slapping it onto the package to get people to buy IW.

Except they're going to add supply drops though. Some people data mined the game and they found a dealer similar to the one in Black Ops 3.

They need to focus on improving the game like fixing the spawns and reducing the weapon flinch when being shot at instead of adding the bullshit that people have been getting annoyed by in newer CoDs like super colorful and gay ass camos, melee weapons, and supply drops.

When you remaster a game, you don't add stuff that wasn't in the original in the first place to change things. All you do is make the game look better and run better.

Wouldn't be the first time there's a lot of cut content left in a CoD game's code though. But yeah, random drops could be bad and that is pretty worrying. Still, I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt for now. I don't think a remaster can't be anything more than a better looking and running clone of the original. CoD 4 is still a great game, but its age is showing. I don't want a gameplay overhaul, but I don't think that some new skins, animations, challenges, customization options, gametypes and such are necessarily detrimental to the game.

Supply drops are bad, especially after what they did in Black Ops 3. Treyarch said that they would be nothing but cosmetics in them but then they started to add melee weapons and guns. Black Ops 3 ended up having more melee weapons than assault rifles and SMGs combined and your chances of getting the guns in supply drops were .1%

The melee weapons they're gonna add to MWR are gonna be equippable like they are in Black Ops 3 where they were all 1-hit to kill. This is going to change gameplay, making guns in close-quarters combat useless like in Black Ops 3. If history repeats itself, you can bet that they will add guns too down the line making the game pay-to-win.
The character customization is gonna be stupid as fuck too with them adding sunglasses and other dumb shit that DOES NOT fit the atmosphere and mood of CoD4. Keep the goofiness in the future-themed CoDs that nobody likes and keep this shit out of the older games where it doesn't belong. They will probably add CoD Points to MWR as well.

This is a REMASTER , and not a Reboot. Adding all of this bullshit doesn't make any sense, especially since Raven came out and said that "We want the game to feel completely the same as the original." Biggest lie I ever heard since they said that CoD games take 3 years to make now.

This would be like having Halo 3 Anniversary and having them add Req Packs and gameplay features from Halo 5 into that game that nobody asked for or wanted.

And I wonder how Vince Zampella and Jason West from Respawn feel about all of this, especially since Zampella came out and told Raven "Don't fuck it up."

Did they go back in time and get that thing out of the 1950s?

Kinda want to buy it because IW's campaign looks cool and pretty much exactly the kind of scifi I love, and I never played much MW (Never really played the CoD games).

Just gonna wait until it goes cheap though - is MW a DL code or can I get it preowned and have it?

The code comes with the game and is a seperate download. If you buy physical, you need the IW disc in order to play MWR.

Hard to believe that some people haven't played GTA. Nearly everyone I knew growing up had played at least one GTA game, even the people that weren't into games.
