The Flood / Re: An alternate timeline where Corona never happened
« on: October 14, 2020, 01:44:43 AM »
I had plans to go to so many baseball and football games this year so fuck corona for taking that from me. I miss high-fiving random strangers every time my team scores and heckling the other team's players.

My best friend was also in a toxic and mentally abusive relationship with this girl that is the physical incarnation of Satan. My friend who was always cheerful and liked being around others slowly turned into a depressed hermit when he met this girl and dug himself a hole that he couldn't get out of. We used to always hang out literally almost every weekend but he couldn't because he was afraid of her and what she'd do and would always make excuses. There was one day where my friends and I weren't going to let this happen anymore so we stepped in and helped get him out of this relationship. It took time but we freed him. We got our friend back and it was short lived because this motherfucking virus happened. This time his mom was super paranoid about this and didn't let him leave the house for anything at all. My friends and I were right back where we started basically trying to free him.

In a alternate timeline my friends and I are hanging out every weekend, traveling to places, going to concerts, going to baseball games, and going to football games enjoying our lives. We're doing our best to do what we could during this time we're currently in.

Living in the armpit of California has it's benefits I guess.

The coast and beach I visit is an hour and half away and is always a nice getaway from the heat. The drive there and back is always a good time.

Los Angeles is about the same time, so is Six Flags Magic Mountain and Universal Studios. Disneyland is a little bit further away.

Being near the I-5 and the 99 allows me easy access to all of these places as well as to any other major city and location in California.

I live in a shithole, yes, but everything being around 2-3 hours away is a luxury.

i getchu, i live about an hour away from la and the beach, and like an additional 30 min for disneyland

i dont usually go though, i dont like the beach and well, la is lol la
If you go to the LA beaches then yeah I understand lol

I go to one up the 101 about 2 hours away from LA where there's hardly any people that go. It's so peaceful there.

Hopefully out of California

Free yourself from income tax oppression, my friend.
The funniest thing about California is once you cross into the state, you see all kinds of road signs telling you all the driving laws we have here. When you cross over into Nevada for example they don't have shit.

The Flood / Re: Post your vehicles
« on: September 07, 2020, 02:38:28 AM »
I've decided to trade my car in maybe later this year or early next year so I've stopped buying car mods.

My initial plans were to keep this Camaro and find a 2007-2010 Mazda RX-8 as a project car. The problem is that Mazda RX-8s never sale around my area and I would have to drive 4 hours or more just to get one, plus the ones that are listed are the early models which have way more problems than the later models like the years aforementioned.

So now my plans are to find a 2017-2020 Camaro SS 1LE or Camaro 2SS of the same model years. I have no problem dropping $2000 on a down payment for one and plus I have a $3000 GM credit card that I paid off back in July so I'm hoping I can get a great deal and not have a $700+ monthly car payment.

I’ve had it for a few days and I’m still blown away by how many features this thing has. So far ahead of its time considering it was pioneered in 1999. It’s basically a live telemetry of everything the engine is doing and comes with a programmable Shift light, a G-force meter, lap timer and data logging.
It fits the dash so well tbh

That's so damn cool. I love infotainment systems like that and for it being made in 1999 it has stuff that took other manufacturers took another 10 years to have in their cars.

Also, it's already more advanced than a modern day Masertati infotainment system.

Serious / Re: Coronavirus panic room thread
« on: September 07, 2020, 02:16:43 AM »
Crazy enough I still work during this pandemic, I don't know if I'm lucky or what? I guess I'm lucky if I'm still alive and breathing. Either that or god hates me by keeping me alive to mentally suffer (if there is one)
I've been working full time 5-6 days a week for the past 4 months now since my job reopened and there's close to a thousand people that work inside the warehouse where I'm employed. Man the fuck up and get used to it, you're not the only one that's working and there's millions out of a job right now that would love to have our positions. The world doesn't revolve around you and you aren't lucky.

The more afraid you are of this virus the higher your chances are of getting it. I still live my life and work like I've been before everything happened except now I have to wear a mask. Do I like wearing masks? Of course not but if its what I gotta do to get our lives back to normal then I'll wear one.
