When Bungie said "30 seconds of fun" they literally meant that for ODST.
Speak for yourself; I thought that campaign was incredible. Firefight on ODST was so much more immersive than Reach's version as well.
If you think ODST's campaign was "incredible" you don't know what good campaigns are. - The game tried to tell a story that was nonexistent. - The Mombassa Streets level is copy/pasted in all directions. Its like a big symmetrical multiplayer map with the same streets, alleys, and buildings in nearly every corner of the map. There also is nothing interesting to look for other than audio logs and that's it. You can only go in a small amount of buildings to look for stuff but they're all the same. - Unforgettable characters other than Buck but that's not saying much. All the characters suffer from cheesy and awful dialogue as well. I will admit that ODST's soundtrack is amazing and the atmosphere for the game is awesome but other than that the game suffers from what I posted above. Firefight was fun but I got tired of it easily, even when playing with friends. I just wish it was bigger and had more stuff going on in it.
