 Today is November 9th and on this day 10 years ago Halo 2 was released. On that same day, I experienced Halo for the first time ever. Halo 2 is my favorite Halo and I'm going to tell you why: I was in 3rd grade at the time. My teacher was a huge Halo fan and he even went to the midnight release of Halo 2. He brought his Xbox and Halo 2 the day it came out and he played through some of the campaign in class. I remember him going through Cairo Station, Outskirts, Metropolis, and The Arbiter. The part that really got me interested into Halo was when he was playing Outskirts and Metropolis. I just fell in love with the game because I had never seen a game like Halo 2. It looked cool, the soundtrack gave me goosebumps, and it was awesome. Later that day he let some of the students play the multiplayer. He let me play and I was so excited, even though I had no idea what I was doing. I still had a blast using all the weapons and feeling like a badass. The day ended and as soon as I got home from school I told my parents about what happened. I told them I wanted an Xbox and Halo 2 for my birthday which is in January. My dad said "I'll think about it." I couldn't wait until my birthday. January came and I got what I asked for, an Xbox and Halo 2 which still both work to this day. My brother and I plugged in the Xbox and played Halo 2 co-op for hours. We were glued to the screen until like 9pm until my mom told me to go to bed. It was literally one of the best times I had playing a video game. The next day at school was the longest day of my life. I just wanted to go home and play Halo 2. I would always talk about Halo 2 with my friends and teacher at school. And here I am, 10 years later still playing Halo and talking about it. If I didn't have that teacher for 3rd grade I don't think I would ever gotten into gaming as much as I am now or even gotten into Halo. Hell, I don't think I would even be here posting this if it wasn't for him.

Did they really just reveal the Xel'Naga in a trailer? That's the equivalent of 343i casually showing off the Precursors in a trailer for a new Halo.

Hybrids? Hybrids of what?
The Hybrids are creatures created by combining Zerg and Protoss DNA. They were first seen in Starcraft Brood War where Zeratul first has encounters with them. The shape-shifter Narud constructed them on "hundreds of worlds" as he says. In Zeratul's prophecy in Starcraft 2, Amon(who is in control of the Hybrids) uses them and the Zerg to kill off the Terran and the Protoss. Whenever he gets done wiping out the Terran and Protoss, he kills the Zerg and takes over the galaxy with his army of Hybrids. That creature in the new trailer who attacks Kerrigan is a Hybrid of some sort and not a Xel Naga. We have yet to know what a Xel Naga looks like but I think Amon is a Xel Naga and he looks like a Protoss.
